GTRTONY

Hi all
just joined the forum. picked up my new 2011 gtr last Saturday and after a crunching up the first 600 miles in just over a week, have to say that so far i am impressed.

my previous bike was a fjr 1300 that i loved, but as it was a 2003 model it was starting to look its age and i convinced the wife that instead of a new kitchen a new bike was in order. (boy do I owe her lol)

i have so far fitted a starcom  which i have connected to my tomtom rider v2 via the bluetooth mod. i use also the pillion mode and mobile phone as well as connecting the ipod (mainly for the wife)

i have  red guard and fitted my tank protector last night. however i managed to loose one of the fairing nuts / washers that the hex bolt screws into , so if any one has a spare......

hope to use this site al ot

tony
;D
getting there........

HI Tony,
Welcome to the site, sorry can't help you with the washer/nut , but i'd like to say welcome to the site  ;D, sounds like you're getting the GTR to your spec....enjoy
It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

Hi GTRTony,

Enjoy the ride. You can get those bolts and washers from a good nut and bolt shop. r even your Kawa dealer.

Another Northern member, we obviously have great taste for quality bikes in this area of the country. The Southerners will possibly catch up eventually ::)

There's a link already for the Bikesafe this Sunday posted by Winston Smith, it sounds like you may know him... ;D

Hey don't diss us southerners!! ;D .... i am fairly certain i am from further North than all of you lot (although going on your original premise, maybe thats why i bought a GTR ::) ) ....anyways whilst i may be Northern....SWMBO is definatley southern and i wouldn't mess with her :D

Welcome aboard Tony.  ;D

I am neither Northern nor Southern, I'm British.
My parents were brought up in Yorkshire, Grandparents were English, Welsh, Scots and English.
I was born in a British Military Hospital in West Germany and I have lived North (Hamilton, Catterick, Elland, Sandbach) and South (Cheltenham, WestQuantocksHead, Chelmsford ('72 & '87-96), Watford area, Wickford) as well as some 15 years lived abroad.

So, if there are any North/South disputes on here,.... consider me the referee. ;) 8)

I happen to live in the South for my sins so I have more experience recently of filtering than I have of twisties  :(

Anywhere North of London is NORTH to me !

Kwikasfuki

A long, long time ago I used to work in London. Every Friday, regular as clockwork I'd do the three hour journey north. No one at work could understand why I would bother as anything north of Watford was alien territory to them. 'Quality of life' I'd say and they'd come out with 'but this is London!'
