If the puncture is opposite the valve then you need to exercise caution as the TPS sensor is located there.

Know what you mean about car tyres .... 4 new tyres for Fiesta 1.4, Pirelli's, came in fitted and balanced at £245 from a local tyres place .... Halfords quoted me £360 for exactly the same kit .... WARNING !  Always shop around .. over 100 squid difference for the sake of a cheap rate phone call !!

Can't beleive the rating of 021's 3/10. Are you sure of this, Im realy impressed with the life of em, Ok now there shot but, 8k. They come free with the bike, Kawasaki must rate them to stick em on as standard.
Kawasaki fit the Bridgestones because Kawasaki are Japanese and Bridgestone are,... yup you guessed it.
Show me a Japanese manufacturer who fits anything other than Bridgestone or Dunlop as OEM tyres and I will be VERY surprised.

Did you get the PR3s installed Wainyone?
If so, what do you think?
I've not ridden with the BT-023s but the PR3s are head and shoulders ahead of the BT-021.

Bridgestone motorcycle tyres & Kawasaki are both in Kobe area. Both were affected in 1995 earthquake.

After much fussing over PR3's or 023's and after getting 8k out of the 021's (yes they were a bit thin at the end...lol)

Anyhow, I have gone for the 023's as they had a pretty good write up and seemed a goot compewtetor of the the PR3's.

I will let ya all know how they do.  So far (200 mls) and feel fresh, 8k?  I dont think I will be getting this mileage out of them, and nor do I want to as it was a bit precarious...lol

Will be interesting to see how the BT023 compares to the BT021

PR3s all the way for me. Normally I'm the first to try a new brand, but I think the PR3 is where it stops.

Well, so far so good but will be putting some miles in during the next couple of months so we shall see if the 023's live up to the write up...

Having said that, 8k out of my last was bloody spectacular (although Mr Plod may have had something to say...lol)

What would you rather be   or a wasp?

Hi.  I've used the Maxxis Supersport and they were rubbish. They only lasted 3,450 miles.

I've got the 023's on now and they have already done 3,500 and are showing hardly any signs of wear.  They stick well, wet and dry.

Dive1082

Ooo someone else with 023's so we can compare.  It will be interesting.

Lockers

Just come up to 4500 on my BT023 great tyre would expect to get 7000 mls out of them. I agree they a great in dry & wet conditions. Used them on my blackbird as well, never had any bad moments very planted. :smartass:

Still early days! From what I'm hearing they do seems to be an improvement over the 021s.

The front pr3 finally went after 15k miles. The grip was there until about 13k miles. After that not very confidence inspiring.
