Patrick just be aware that even using the latest version of Pinnacle you will only be able to write video footage to a blu ray disc at 63% quality which can be a bit disappointing as the quality isn't what you would expect.

Got Pinnacle 16 myself - but only do simple stuff - for instance I haven't worked out how to do titles yet

I'd read that there are issues with blu ray writing but I'll give it a go and see how it works out. I've produced a DVD I am pleased with that when played on the TV.

I've done some DVDs and they are good quality, I think it's just the blu rays which suffer. There's lots of info on the pinnacle forums about the 63% maximum quality. That's why I got the software for free in the end as I was assured it would work and when it didn't they just refunded me my money.

On the lid camera is ok if you can keep your head still.

I think a faster frame rate is best. This one is at 720p 25fps. you can see the rolling shutter effect, but now im going to NSTC at 60fps to get a smoother picture

Great video Ant, I love Lincolnshire.

Ros

Hey Ant,

By rolling shutter effect, do you mean the video wobbling around a bit?  If so, I have seen the same when the camera is attached to the bars - particularly when mounted on a long lever.  It vibrates quite a lot from the handlebars, but I find that I don't get any when I mount the camera under the mirror...  Using 30 or 60fps doesn't make any difference in terms of the wobbling for me...

I don't know why you can still buy stuff that use PAL or NTSC - I don't know of any device these days that only displays one or the other.

Cheers, was hoping to see a GTR or 2 at Willingham last Sunday.....sadly none, when we were there. Marmite seemed to attract alot of attention though from potential buyers......

Ros, Im going to try it anyway and if it doesn't work i'll have to invest in the GOPRO Black version, so fecking expensive  !!!!   I only put it on the bars so I can switch on and off when needed and also see it working. Didnt want to buy a remote you see.... :mfr_lol:

Ros

Arrgh!  I'm still desparately trying not to by a Black edition....   :help:

Lonewolf

I still se the original HD GoPro Hero and a HD GoPro 2 Motorsports, they seem to work just fine for what I want to do.

Ant

The Drift seems to knock out some good footage too, I think things can get over complicated sometimes .......becoming more like women everyday....

I'll get me coat  :whistling:
