Digital display only displays 1st, N, 2nd and sometimes 3rd but not higher

I have search the forum but without much luck. Has anyone come across this odd problem when changing gear, to see the digital display where the gear position should be, go blank when moving up past 2nd gear. Sometimes 3rd gear will show but not often.

The motorbike has 2500 miles on the clock.

has anyone else incurred this odd problem and off assistance. If not, it will be a return to the dealership

Yup had that, the dealer changed the gear indicator sensor which tells the display what it needs to know, mine had water ingress, new one sorted it.

that's the same problem i'm having at the moment any idea of cost for this repair

No sorry mine was under warranty, but the guy did how me the old one and I reckoned that if you take,it off you could easily clean the contacts inside.

I've seen it happen on the odd occasion, but it hasn't proved to be a problem
