Went for a little run mid week to Devil's Bridge via Middleton, Brough, Sedburgh, onto Devil's Bridge, then back via Niddervale ( took a wrong turn actually) , Ripon. Great day out.

On the way to Middleton in Teesdale

Devil's bridge; there is actually a sign saying it as an offence to jump from the bridge without good cause !!!

Far too many youths have been fished out of the waters further down stream, any one who does jump in is risking serious injury or worse

Teacher, very nice photos indeed. The FJR, is that just done up like a Police bike or was it one?  The Bridge, often in the summer you do get kids/youths & Geoff, (100milesaway) jumping off it to cool down. You can often still see Geoff sat on the wall at The Bridge reminiscing about the good old days......

I'm not even going to mention the absence of your panniers, I'm sure you had good reason not to have them with you.  :nono:

Well we had yet another brilliant ride out today, leaving Devils Bridge at about 11.15 and heading in a very roundabout/back road route to Keswick and tghe Filling Station Cafe where we had a substantial burger..mmmmm tasty it was too,

After talking loads of poo we left and returned back to the South Lakes via another back lane route through Hesket Newmarket, and over Kirkstone Pass, 147 miles for me and a good few more for Geoff and the lads.

The views were absolutely stunning even if some of the roads were still bordered by plenty snow and in lots of places covered in plenty gravel which made it a bit tricky at times....excellent day out, excellent views

Well it's a small world; I think in fact we exchanged a few words as you were saying the Versys was all one needed in a bike??

The police bike was genuine, as were the other three not in the shot. Boys in blue were stopping for a cuppa.

Panniers?  I'll maybe put them on one day .

That'll be because you didn't recognise it as a GTR due to lack of panniers.

Ah yes, thats a good point. I thought it was because I'm 65.  Whilst  on the subject please note that my Versys was wearing its panniers.
