Staying in York

Seems our trip foreign will have to wait until later in the year, so we are thinking of coming up to York for a weekend, prob 4 couples (4 bikes) and eight other bikers so does anybody have any recommendations for hotels who can take care of this lot?

You could camp at Squires just outside York. Failing that York will be full of B&B's but at rip off prices. I'd book into a B&B in one of the many quaint villages surrounding York, take your pick really.

Camping is out, i don't do it, and i take your point with regards to B7B's in town, time to look a little outside.

Hi Big Allan
Within the City walls is a Travelodge, walking distance from the City Centre. I dont know if secure bike parking is available but you could always ask, like most travelodges the price are reasonable if booked early. Otherwise you could try BnBs but prices in York can be expensive.
