I dunno what all the fuss is about.
I like horse. Cheaper than beef and just as tasty.

People are hypocrites.
They will eat ickle fwuffy lambywamies and buuywabbits but get upset because they think they might be eating the loser from the 2:30 at Chepstow.
Worse is that the don't mind feeding it to their pets, so long as we don't tell them.

In Belgium and France horsemeat is in all the supermarkets and butchers and costs around 2/3 of the cost of beef.
The horses are bred and raised for meat, not for racing.
Trying to eat a racehorse would be like trying to digest Cordura.

Good point George, but my guess is that customers  were under the impression that the meat they were buying was Bovine not  Equine.

I've never tasted Horse meat BTW

:agree:  Its not the eating of horse meat that's the issue its buying one product and unwittingly being sold another.....naturally some folk wont like the idea of eating dobbin, personally I'd give it a go

If yer buying a BUDGET beefburger then you should expect it to contain other stuff.
I'm amazed that it had any beef in it at all.
That said, Beefburgers contain all kinds of stuff, and are only required to contain something like 60% beef.
Perhaps I should sue McDonalds as they sell a Hamburger and theres no  :censored: Ham in it!

Lets be honest, the only people who really give a  :censored: are the horsey community who are devastated to realise that they have been riding a stupid skittish cow with cute eyes for all these years. Bring on the QuarterHorseBurger, and I'll have some minced Mutton and a nice medallion of grilled Hedgehog while I'm at it.
