2010 Year Model with a Jammed Gloved Lid

Firstly! Happy New Year Every one!

Came back from a short 200KM++ Trip and discovered that the Glove Box Cover couldn't open... Press the button & the catch release... was only able to open/life up a couple of mm...

Has yet gone to the workshop as today is a Public Holiday, has any one encountered this problem???

You did have the bike turned on

Hi,obviously you have had the ignition on? if the glove box has been removed,and not been put back in correctly,the lid jams on the lock.Be very careful if you try to force it open. keep us posted,would like to know what the outcome is.

Silly question - have you checked the fuses?
Also, because its a solinoid, if you turn the bike on (not started) after a few minutes I can hear mine humming and it automatically locks again.   just a thought.

Went out earlier for a short ride round town for coffee with a with of my pals... Upon reaching home... , the glove lid opens...!!!! No longer jammed...  I wonder what happened?

I have had problems with it sticking, and sometimes not closing. Suggest squirt with ACT down by the catch. Cured mine

Thanks for the suggestion, what happen last week was that the mechanical latch has release the lid... but it simply does want to pop out...

Tried and tried, lucky my passport wasn't in there... (was in a away in Malaysia). Did not ride my bike for a week till yesterday afternoon... The lid cover pop open just after 1/2 hr ride... Funny...
