More likely he has turned to the "Dark Side" and bought one of those Alan Millyard special Kawasaki strokers with 5 cylinders.
Either that or another classic like a Z1300 or a Z1A.

I think that's enough teasing.

the story is that I have wanted a Brit Iron Bike for many years, its an itch that I had and it needed scratching, but its taken years of drooling, wishing, wanting, deliberating and saving until  I was in a position to make a decision.

For me the desire for a British classic bike started back in the 60s watching mates who had left school the year before turning up at the school gates on all sorts of bikes, that image has never left me, and I well recall the noise that a British twin made with its unrestricted cut back pipes, and the way it looked with clip on's or ace bars.

So some months ago the search began for my dream bike, and I very much wanted one of these a BSA Rocket Gold Star...however they are a pig to live with, aren't easy to ride and cost the best part of 15 grand, so that was a no no.

So I took a reality check and began to look at other options, of which this is one, a BSA A10, which is very nice but didn't really tick all my boxes

So I then turned my focus  to a Norton Dominator 650 SS like this, but its a heavy bike and I didn't feel that I wanted that, plus they are expensive and difficult to find in the right condition/price bracket

My attention then shifted to a different marque, and it became obvious that I was getting closer to my target bike, this time a Triumph T110, which I think is absolutely stunning, but again difficult to find at the right price, as values are most definitely going up, as these bikes do represent a great future investment, this one is a 1956 pre-unit model....god its beautiful (well I think so)

So................ what have I settled on, well its a Triumph,.....no not a Bonneville as I cant afford one of those as they cost about £9K for a good example, but a Triumph Trophy TR6, which ticks the boxes and I think is a lovely looking bike, it will be an easier bike to ride and should give me years of pleasure without too much pain physically or financially, its a 650cc and looks a bit like this one with the twin leading shoe front brake, the bike produces a massive 42 bhp @ 6,500 rpm so it has more low down grunt than peaky top end performance

It'll be into the new year before the bike arrives and TBH I can't  :censored: wait  :mfr_lol:

ice choice of bike Rog. The T110 brings back some memories, bought one the same back in 1964, paid an old falla (prob the same age as me now) £35 for it. Wished I still had it & the old Speed win sprung hub that I paid £5 to a mate. Hope you enjoy it, at least you wont need to slip the clutch for the first 50 yards like you would on the Goldie.
