The slim lids do look good but I really like being able to store my helmet in the bags when I'm away from the bike. I guess they might be useful in heavy traffic with lane splitting.

That could be a good idea for folk who don't like to ride with their panniers on, sort of a compromise. Got to admit though I don't understand why you would want to make them smaller. I didnt see a price, how much is the mod?

suppose it depends on your filtering confidence, I've had no problem filtering up to now.  my mate said there was a few times when filtering on the m25 on the way to the euro tunnel when I got within a nats nudger of cars when filtering  but that was only because the knobs where on mobiles and started to sway over! they off course got my "hand movement" can't see the point in paying out money making the panniers narrower, one of the main feature of the gtr is carrying capacity
getting on now...  but not as old as Rog or Geoff

The widest part of the bike are the mirrors anyway.  :ohplease:
If they fit through the rest of the bike will too.
Not for me - thank you.
And how much for that ugly handlebar?  :shit:
They must be kidding.  :2guns:
The later you brake the longer you go fast.

I dont see the point of the slim panniers, as Mecki already stated the mirrors are the widest point...
When Im on rides with others and we stop for a walk, everyone likes to put their helments in my box... OMG  I didnt mean that.. I meant in my panniers..

The new helibars would suit those who want a more of a 'Sit Up & Beg' riding position... Not for me tho...

Both are a lot of money for really no gain IMO  :2guns:

Many size helmets fit into many size boxes the world over, it makes the biking world go round.

My helmet likes to live up top, easy to get out when you need it.
