I'm afraid not. :( If you have bought a GTR which is too tall for you, you will have to find someone with an older model who is willing to swop with you.  ;D ;D ;D

Sorry about that, couldn't help myself. Honest answer is I dont know but I'm sure Norman Bates will know the answer and help you out very soon.

Lowering the bike will affect the geometry significantly. You will have to lower the front as well. How much by is a black art.
I think you're best giving the guys at http://www.hyperpro.com/ (one of the manufacturers from LW's link above) a ring and getting their view.

The other thing to try is getting a lower seat. The gel seat is 1" lower than stock

EDIT: you could get them both lowered then take it to a suspension expert (those that do track bikes) and get it fine tuned from them

Re the above, on my last Honda CB 1300s it had a Hyperpro system installed on it when I bought it.

As I understand it the Hyperpro system is set up specifically for the rider and I could never really get on with this bike. I think it was quite simply because I weighed more than the previous owner and so this affected the handling of the bike.

The Hyperpro system though is a good set up when done correctly and can work out very expensive.

Yes if you are going to do it properly. There is the initial outlay for the front and rear lowering kits and then ideally it will need to be set up by someone who is familiar with their set up. Depending on how much you actually need to lower the bike I would look at a simple quick fix of lowering the seat and see where you go from there.

cheers if i had lowering kit fitted i would get a dealer to do it i have been looking at the seat at around £350 is cheapest
