Hi all,

This is a bit like bolting the stable door once the horse has bolted I am sure, but as the third rear shock is going to be fitted to my bike next week (warranty again, thankfully), I think it is about time I try and protect it a bit.

My first thought was the neoprene R&G shock covers, but they do only seem to cover the spring - not the shock top mount where the pre-load adjuster is.

So, I think a hugger is a must. Tempted to get the Skidmarx carbon one as I can be a bit of an aesthetics tart sometimes and much prefer it over the gloss black GRP one.

So, is it a good quality product? Easy to fit?

Cheers all,

Martin.

Which ever one you get, get the one the doesn't get in the way of rear wheel removal.

I have a skidmarx one and it looks good, I will know next month if I have to remove it to get he wheel out.

Fitted by my dealer before I collected it.

I can confirm you don't need to remove the skidmarx hugger to remove or fit the rear wheel, I recently removed my rear wheel to have a replacement tyre fitted, no problem what so ever
getting on now...  but not as old as Rog or Geoff
