what ! cancelled due to a 1 day delay in collection. mmmmm  Ant has messaged us with a slightly different  reason .

I heard. However they were inaccurate assumptions, unfortunately. We do indeed do all manufacturing in house aside from the powder coating and chroming. If any of you guys have visited the other Concours forums (ZGGTR or COG) and/or seen our product "build" threads, it's popular opinion that we're a great company to work with that manufactures quality accessories.

We moved facilities at the beginning of this year to a recently renovated, 30,000 sq. ft. facility which was previously owned by Titan Fabrication who is related to us in absolutely no way, shape, or form. As far as our dealers having difficulty getting these products, that's because most dealers purchase through national distributors who haven't yet begun purchasing this specific product in large quantities even though they've been some of our hottest sellers. However, more and more dealers have begun coming directly to us for these and have no problem attaining product that way.

I emailed Ant on Thursday letting him know that the product would go out early the following week (we work 4, 10 hour days so we're closed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). However, we used a special shipping company that we use from time to time that only handles bulk shipments in order to save on shipping and I wasn't personally aware until very recently that they don't service our area daily because I'm not usually the one who deals with this specific shipping company. So, the only day to schedule pickup was Wednesday. I was actually going to email Ant this morning when I got in the office to notify him that the product was leaving today and supply him the invoice but when I got to the office I saw his email that he wanted to cancel the order.

It's a bummer that after all that he decided to cancel especially because the end customer is the one who suffers from it. If any of you guys would still like this product, it is in stock and ready to ship out and, as I mentioned, would be willing to cover $25 of the shipping cost for you. Feel free to PM me or email me directly if you have any questions or would like to order.

No problem! Yea, it's a bummer that the deal fell through after all of that especially because, as I mentioned, the end customer is the one who ends up losing out.

Not being able to get the Canyon bars here I bought a set at the NEC bike show this week from R&G. I saw them in the flesh and decided that they would be fine, especially having spoken to a cop who had his GTR pushed over on him with no ill effects. They may be a little "lighter" than the Canyon Cages but I feel they look a little better imho. I still will buy the rear Canyons when available here as I feel they are the best available atm.
Cost of R&Gs at the show was £185 delivered. Fitted in an hour today and look excellent :)

Hello, just joined the forum - glad to have found it. Got my GTR earlier this year and I love it. But.... I dropped it a few months back - when I was stationary!!!! Not too much damage but would love to get these Canyon Cages from a UK company if I can. However, the website link that was in one of the earlier posts doesn't seem to work - can someone help. Many thanks, Bryan

Bryan

sorry, not being that familiar with the site I see that Ryan has already posted that the deal fell through. Indeed it is a bummer. Cheers, Bryan

Yes it has unfortunately, for several reasons that I won't go into.....

I don't have a problem with people ordering direct from them or getting the R & G bars, BUT, i am developing some of my own of which the template is almost done. I hopefully can produce some bars that will serve their purpose, look good and be readily available ( off the shelf ) and priced very competitively.

What I plan to do is have the prototype fitted to my bike and then you can give me your thoughts, if anything needs changing that I / you think I've missed i'll work from there.
They won't be like the RG bars, similar to the CC's. My biggest challenge ATM is making them for easy removal or simple fairing mod to allow fairing  removal.
The rear guards are actually more important than the front if it goes to ground on its own --- a lot of expensive stuff on the back, and I also am trying to put the guard under the pannier more so as not to interfere with pillion feet.... or the Mrs will be moaning !!!!

Staying around the 20 - 24mm steel as it takes around 12 ton to bend this stuff, BUT, stronger tube is not always best, at a certain point it needs to give or you end up with frame damage !!!    I'm on the case....

So how long before we get to see something on your bike?

Ant

Before Xmas if I think its right. { i say before xmas to be safe, but could be next week }
I may just spray one black for the time being for veiwing rather than wait for powder coating.
