Just joined - 2010 CAF just bought!

Hi All
Just joined after manyweeks viewing threads and deliberating whether to take the plunge and get one of these monsters! Bear in mind I had 2x Tiger 955i's and commute 400miles a week. Also do a fair bit of european riding. The site has been brilliant in steering me towards the right bike and Ive just bought a 2010 CAF which will be picking up hopefully this weekend.Ill whack some pics up when its back home. Cheers All

You've made the right choice. Mines over 50k with 400 commuting miles/week.

Unfortunately you probably haven't got the fastest colour (black), but you can't win them all!

Dont listen to them, black is fast....not as fast as the magnesium ones but thats life.

Cheers guys. Thanks for the warm welcome. I'll put my vote in for the magnesium grey but can't guarantee it'll be quicker than black! Ill mention tyres - pretty glad the BT021's are not on mine. I remember the stickiest tyres I had were Pilot Race on my R1. Will try PR3's once I've worn the BT023's out.
Coming from Tigers this is going to be an interesting few weeks!

Hi and welcome..! congratulations on the colour, wise choice. don't agree about the bt021 tyre's thou! they I've never given me any concerns on handling or stabilty. I'm not impressed with the mileage I got from my rear bt021 thou!! I've just replaced mine at 4,000 miles and it was just on the wear markers. front still ok, but will be changing to pr3's next time round as a pair

Well I picked up the GTR today and rode 85miles back home. Some nasty flood water and debris got in the way but back in one piece. All I can say is this bike is superb. Both the commute and the hols are going to be something else!  Unfortunately I had to go back to work by train today so won't get the chance to ride again till next weekend. I also have transfer the autocom, zumo and centech  over from the tiger. I'll take some pics and maybe post them up if anyone's interested. I've got a fair bit of experience doing this stuff so may as well share it on here.
