After a reasonably hard days graft I thought I'd treat myself to s G&T and sit in the garden for a while as its a stunning summers evening up here

So after a very enjoyable G&T I doze off for about 10 minutes, but wake to the sound of crunching.......on closer inspection I find that my dog has eaten ....yes eaten my bloody mobile phone   :2guns:

aaaaaaarghhhhhhh the effing, stoopid, bloody canine cretin has eaten my phone...what am I gonna do   :2guns: :2guns: :2guns: :2guns: :2guns: :2guns:

A call to Vodafone confirms its insured and the claim has been accepted, but not until I'm asked, " how did the dog get the phone ?",,,, "with its teeth" was the reply, "where exactly was the phone ?" "on a table next to me" I replied, "why did the dog pick up the phone ?"........."WHAT ??????....I don't know" was my reply...."hang on I'll ask the dog !!!!!" (with a chuckle)..."how badly damaged is the phone ?"..."well its totally wrecked, but fortunately the SIM card is still in tact"......"our engineers will need to see if the phone is repairable"....at this point I'm expecting Geremy Beadle to make a re-appearance....."oh believe me its beyond repair"......"what type of dog is it"......... :ohplease: :ohplease: :ohplease:  spare me further torture..."its a bloody labrador...does that really matter ?, cos its not trained to use a mobile "

BTW here's the remnants

In the end the young lady on the phone saw the funny side of this scenario and shared a laugh with me

The REALLY annoying thing is that whilst bit wont turn on/off anymore it keeps buzzing as people try to call me

aaaaaaarghh   :help:

the call centre were probably running a voice recognition  lie detector , by asking you a series of more amd more searching questions they can gauge a probable honest claim . If you registered a probable dishonest claim they pass it up the chain for further investigation, once the operator got the green light thats when she started to talk to you like a real human.

You should get your dog a hands free kit Coney !!!!!

As I was off work today I visited my local (35mile round trip) Vodafone store in Kendal

A brand new phone was issued with no fuss no hassle and very helpful staff...RESULT

BUT... all my contacts are lost cos I hadn't backed up the contacts list ... I thought I'd done it to the car handsfree but I hadn't

So I've sent e-mails to all and sundry and asked some mates for numbers of mutual friends....i'm getting there but I reckon I've lost about 100+ contacts at this stage.

The dog is now on "nil by mouth" prior to surgery for teeth removal (only joking...I love her really) and she is nursing a sore arse   :mfr_lol:

Slane ...yeah ya git...... it fkn buzzed and buzzed .....nice one mate   :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol:

What OS was on the phone? If it was Android, then your contacts would have been sync'd with Google
