Mine will not pull out from the switch !!!
Bike is less than 6 months old so I'm off to the new Swindon dealer tomorrow to ask for a fix.
Wonder if they have an ex-GW mechanic ??

viper

has it ever been removable?  you got the fob in range and going to FSS

Cartman

Assuming you mean the knob,if its in the right position  check the battery in the fob, this happened to me about 4 months after I got my bike.

if the bike starts, surely the fob battery must be ok ??

Cartman

that's what I thought, but the dealer changed the battery and everything worked

Went to the new place to discover that it doesn't open for another week. The bike still starts and runs fine so the key must recognise the sender unit.
Can't pull the key from the switch in any position and I was thinking that maybe the key is bent - although it sits nice and central in the switch -so it is probably the battery.
Apparently the dealer will have the answer when the "diagnostic" kit is running next week.

btw. Everything from Aprillias to Victorys on the new site - but no sign of a cafe.   Worth a visit.

Replace the fob battery - cheap enough from any supermarket

Kwikasfuki

No joy  ....
Changed the battery , paired it to the switch. The bike starts and runs fine but will still not pull out in the FSS position.
Phoned big K and spoke with a very helpful guy , he got one of their press bikes and we went through everything together. His key was tight but came out , mine did not.
I have to take the bike into the dealer (when they get up and running) and might mean a new lock set.
What's that going to cost ??
All on warrenty though .
I know what will happen - I'll ride it in and the mechanic will just pull the key out and wonder what I'm on about.

I know what you mean - when I was a train driver I couldn't for the life of me get the train key out of the console causing a big kerfuffle.
Technician arrived and pulled the bloody thing straight out !   :embarrassed:

Mogster

Is there not one of us GTR chappies close enough to you to come over and wiggle ya fob for ya
