getting on now...  but not as old as Rog or Geoff

O.C.

That's really kinda weird that this post is about women bikers, as i was thinking only today that there aren't any female members on this forum...or are there ?

There used to be an active female member on 'tother GTR forum  a couple of years ago, I think she lived on the Continent somewhere

We have a lovely female member on one of the Kawasaki Triples forums, and she has also completely restored a Kawasaki Triple to a very good standard

:help:As a newbie, I accidentally strayed onto t'ofora?ther forum and noticed members from here posting there.  Could someone please explain why two fora/forums?
Just because many do it does not make it right. Just because many think it does not make it true.

If you look at the stats page the male to female ratio is 4.6 : 1

Nowt wrong with women on bikes, my Mrs Angie rides and loves every minute of it. She is an excellent rider and can give a few of us blokes a run for our money knee down and all. ( But she has foooook all sense of direction, except when going to the shoe shop) For some strange reason she always forgets her purse when we have to fill up mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

get a grip and deal with it

Wonderful

I wan't one   Biker girl that is.....not a Monster.  Of course some (biker "females") on the tube are synonymous with the M word....................

Yup, that would be me.

I used to post on there.  Hallo all. Got my GTR in 2007 then moved to France, imported my bike there. Then moved to the Netherlands and my bike is now on Dutch plates. Went to the Ace Cafe do in 2008 and met up with a few peeps. Might have a look for some photos from then.  There are lots of us women riders around, but we often keep our own company because there's quite a lot of 'flaming' on bike sites but also cos we're often viewed as either in need of advice and improvement or obviously screaming lezzos. I put as my case as the first post in this thread. Personally I find that kind of thing demeaning so tend not to hang around forums that much any more. Sorry if that offends anyone, but I just voted with my feet.

Good on yer Liz, and hey its brilliant to see you on here   Its bloody ages since I saw a post from you.

This is a great forum and I really don't think that anyone on here has the kind of attitude that you refer to, and so you would be made most welcome by all  :185:

Hi Liz - don't think you'll get that on here.

One of the few sites that is balanced with a good sense of humour and seriousness

Welcome back Liz,

What made ya move to De Nederlanden and where in Holland are ya?
Not exactly the best biking country in the world.
Too many Gatsos and straight flat roads.

My pics from the 2008 Ace Cafe day are here.

Hey Big B. Well just after the Ace Cafe do  I got made an offer in The Hague that was worth a look and we just love it so much we decided to stay. So last year we finally sold up in France and settled here. No. It's not good biking country, but 3 hours from the Ardennes and 1.5 hours from the German border or 20K from the Hoek van Holland or Europoort so we're really well connected! This summer we're over in the UK for a ride down to West Wales with our daughters and their partners, then over to Camarthen for FJR owners do. Old habits die hard!!!!
