sorry if this as been discussed before. but how are we lifting the front end of the bike clear of the floor. ok this should easier than my zzr1400, due to the gtr1400 having a centre stand, on the zzr1400 I use a abba stand, and a front paddock stand. if I want to remove the wheel I use the front abba stand lift which is used under the sump! now I can not seem to use the front paddock stand or the front abba stand on the gtr1400, because the rear wheel touches the floor, before the front wheel as lifted! now kawasaki use a special jack. which in fact looks like a normal sissor jack which as a different top plate to the normal jack, dose any one know where the best place to support the bike using a sissor jack, under the sump or under the down pipes, was thinking of using a normal sissor jack, but make a block of wood which is cut out to house both the sump and downpipes so the weight of the bike, is shared between the sump and the downpipes.
getting on now...  but not as old as Rog or Geoff

If you have a strong garage roof ideally with some decent support struts put some ratchet straps around each handle bar and lift the front end up. Just make sure to chock that back wheel so it doesn't roll away.

yes done that many times, but that was for more extensive work. surely theres a simple way of just raising the front wheel off the ground enough to remove the front wheel or even when cleaning! you can use a sissor jack but just wanted to know wheres the best support, if using a jack!

Sorry I cant help you on that one, but I would be interested to know the answer.

Hydraulic jack and a custom wedge to support the dual exhaust. My exhaust has a dint in it due to some garage not caring so from now on I'll be doing my own wheel removal
