I bumped into a guy yesterday at HG in Leeds who was admiring my magnesium GTR. He is in the market for one and said he's had a look at the one at Autorama and reckoned it was a bit shabby.

Hello Kev and  .... this is a great place !  My Gtr is 2 years old today with mostly commuting miles on it with some French and Spanish miles too ... and even some Scottish ones in the summer ( ssshhhhh ) Nearly 20,000 on the clock and not a problem in any way shape or form .. I love this bike to bits

I thought the one at Autorama was Black...maybe there's more than one..I'll have to check that now Steve.

Can i just ask, if its a 2010 revised model with the ABS and traction etc that im after, is that the CAF model and not the A9F?

Roger, you are right the one at Autorama is black, the guy was just looking at my GTR. He said he wanted a black one.

Kev, mine is a green 2011 and it is a CBF model, if that helps you  .

Mine is a 2011 CBF as well. I used to understand kawasaki factory codes, but in the past few years they have gone a bit 'wobbly'
I think the 2010 facelift started as 'A'. then 2011'B' etc.

I think ABS is the 'F' at the end, but could be wrong.

Kwikas, it does seem weird your mate didn't have a problem with the bike moving in crosswinds while you did.. Could it be that this was very soon after your encounter on Wee  , so you were still a little tense? - never helps to be stiff as a board in a crosswind!. Then you got over it all when you found this nice beast that is the GTR?. Comparing this to the BMW, the fine Bavarian machinery would be nice, but at the price? - I reckon you cant go wrong with the great japanese reliability, and Kawasaki, while the smallest of the four, do make the best engines.....

Well, ive managed to find a blue one in my budget and have got a good deal against my DL, so hopefully in a few days, ill be sitting pretty on my GTR
