Is there a plan for tomorrow, the events manager, 100milesaway doesn't seem too forthcoming with the itinerary does he? Are we just meeting up at the Bridge for a bite to eat and chat or are we going to Leyburn for a suprise buffet courtesy of the events manager at his house. :mfr_lol:

As far as I know where metting at the bridge at approx 11.00 am. providing it's not pissing down or icy conditions when I leave, so defo plan on attending  if weather is ok in morning. will set of approx 09.30 but will call into charnock richards service station approx 10.00 am and lancaster (forton) services at approx 10.30 am if any one wants to meet up. if not hope to see you there and put some names to some faces
getting on now...  but not as old as Rog or Geoff

Weather forecast is suposed to be reasonable. Even if its peeing down when I set off I'm still going....it's only water.

 I'm only "Saying nowt" coz I have yet to make a decision as to whether I am "avin it" No point me coming up with a grand plan, then cocking off :embarrassed: is there? So as I stated earlier I will watch the forecast later and decide what to do. My problem is the fact that I have to negotiate two moorland roads, and past experience tells me you dont want to be up there when it has been -6 the night before because it's always full of ice  If i do "av It" my plan was to have a chin wag, then go up to Middleton in Teesdale for lunch  :chef: Anyway my palatial mansion is always open to GTR riders should they require re energizing with tea and biscuits

that's a fair comment steve! "it's only rain" when I first got married and was starting off. I rode 72 miles round journey from home to work in all weathers including ice, snow, pissing down rain and gale force winds for over 5 years untill I could afford a car  and being soak all the time as took it's toll :sad:and now suffer from bad rheumatism if I get wet or to cold it can takes weeks to ease off. i'm a bit smarter now! i've the proper gear  but I don't find it fun riding bikes in the rain. bikes for nice days, cars for bad days. going out in the rain on a bike when you have a car is like owning a dog and barking yourself

OK OK OK  If you turn at the garage down Middleham rd second turning on the right you will see a huge castle like building facing you on the hillside, it has a gate house, and an infra red entry system  After passing through the main gate, follow the gravel drive for about a quarter of a mile, then go left at the portcullis. Continue along the tree lined avenue, past the deer park, and golf course. You will then see in all its splendour a massive mansion in Yorkshire stone.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ours is the little bungalow next to it.
