That's too far then, you can't expect someone to travel 200 miles to and from a bike meet!

slane

just a thought but there always a motorway services somewhere that we could meet , that way we all arrive at a destination at same time , should turn a few heads as well that way
Plus there Rivi barn as another suggestion

Where is the ponderosa ? never been but heard it ok.

Never heard of Rivi Barn, assuming its this place, http://www.rivingtonhallbarn.co.uk/index.asp it looks good, possibly even a bit posh! Fifty two miles from home for me.

Seems a reasonable compromise though as a meeting point, dont mention Ponderosa to 2kwacks, I think he lives there!   :mfr_lol:

Can somebody  :ohplease: define where 'The North' is?
:listencarefully: Looks to me that a lot of people claiming to be 'Northerners' actually live in the Midlands.  :whistling:
The later you brake the longer you go fast.

anywhere north of the 'Watford Gap' services is NORTH! and requires a passport...  :tt2:
She is like the Bumblebee, she should not fly....... and yet she does!

Mogster is bang on .... Anywhere North of the Metropolis that is called Londre is classified in my book as NORTH ... seriously ? I would say anything North of Sheffield and Nottingham and somewhere like Newcastle is "proper north"  :mfr_lol:

Here's a little taster

Cracking bunch though!
Four is fun.  Six is sex.

The Rivington Barn definitely isn't posh, its a good venue and a modest 70 miles for me

Lets fix a date and meet up

That way all the shandy swilling suvvners will have to organise summat of their own to talk about  :mfr_lol:

I'll do Rivington Barn but not this weekend, cos Saturday is my lads 21st birthday bash, and I just might have a sherbert or two.
And it's not posh but it is good. You can get babies head and chips with gravy! For you midlanders that's steak pudding, chips and gravy, for you southerners, naaa you wouldn't understand.

 I dont want to be a dismal johnny, but I hate rivetless barn. When I lived in Lancashire I went twice and thought it was  :shit: :listencarefully: it was  :shit:. Since I ventured over the border into gods own country I have become intolerent of any kind of traffic , motorways, :sleep1: and most A roads . Thats why "The Bridge" has become the mecca for bikers. All around in any direction, and for mile upon mile there is everything a motorcyclist needs, with the added bonus of spectacular scenery. So it would be the "Bridge" for me with lunch in Middleton in Teesdale.
What would you rather be   or a wasp?

2kwacks

:ohplease: can I make a suggestion  the bridge or riverton barn is fine and dandy with me  but if this is planned for this sunday 19th  I need to know a.s.a.p, I'm down to work sunday but need to let them know wednesday the latest.  "pending the weather of course"
getting on now...  but not as old as Rog or Geoff

viper

the only good thing about rivvy barn is the ride in and out, but the place itself is :shit:

it has a good carpark and in a nice setting so its good for a meeting point anyway
