Hi all,

I'm from Portugal, more precisely from Leiria, a city 130km north of LIsbon. I've own 11 bikes in the past, 4 of them Kawasaki's, most of them sport bikes.

I enjoy travelling with my wife and friends. Unfortunately, that's not easy nowadays because of my children!  ;) But I keep trying! ;D

In the Sport Touring departament, I had a Honda ST1300 and a FJR 1300 before my 2009'GTR.

Concerning the GTR, I love it. I just miss an electronic suspension system like ESA to be full satisfied.

I went to UK in 2007, to the 100th anniversary of Isle of Man races and enjoyed very much your country. Love your countryside, the lakes in the north, the wales, Land's End, etc. I will go there again with my wife.

Hope to exchange some experience with all of you!

Regards,
Pedro Gordo

Welcome, and glad to hear you are enjoying the GTR. You have the climate to really enjoy it too.

I have been to Portugal a couple of times now (Lisbon for business, Portimao for a 3 day winter track day) and really enjoyed both of my visits.

Very jealous to hear you made it to the 100th TT also. I live 1,000 miles closer to the Isle of Man than you, and I still have not made it across  ;D

Martin.
65,000 miles now. Loving this bike.

Hello Pedro and welcome ... nice to hear from you !
If you come back over to UK be sure to let us know ... I am sure someone somewhere will be able to meet you and say " Hello "
I went to the TT races 20 years ago, and it was great even then ! You must have some decent roads and warm weather to ride your Gtr on ... lucky man ! ;D

Welcome Pedro,

I haven't ridden in Portugal since 1985.
I remember really rough roads, delicious food and really nice people.
Hopefully the roads have improved.  ;D
