Hello,

After 2 BMW RTs, I decided last week to trade my RT for a GTR,
I got myself a 2010 black GTR.

After 24h I'm quite satisfied, great look, great engine, quite comfortable,
considering the weather these days in Paris (rainy, 5°c) the electronic helps are welcome and efficient.

I just need a higher windshield (I'm 1,94m tall), maybe deflectors for the hands,
and a solution for the side cases (I'll do a specific topic).

I'm now impatient to test it outside the city!

Cheers to all.

Hello Nico and Welcome ... that looks like a great bike to take around France !
If you have time there are plenty of topics here about tall screens and more recently hand/wind deflectors ... take a look  ;D
May I ask how much you paid for a 2010 GTR in Paris ??
Nice of you to drop in and look forward to reading about your adventures ....  ;D

Nico, welcome along to the forum. Great colour bike too.  ;D

Thanks for your messages,
to be honest, I would have preferred a Bronze one (brown) but I couldn't find one.

A GTR like this (2010-2011) in France will be around 11-13K€ depending on mileage and state of consumables (tires, brake pads, etc...)
Mine is a 2011 model, 22.000km, fitted with the original top case, new brake pads and discs, new tires, a new larger windshield and was 11.500€

Brilliant stuff Nico .... when this cold weather clears get out and enjoy !
Hope you and your family have a great Christmas.  ;D

Bienvenu Nico, (Oui, je suis Francophone)

I am also 1m94 and the only screen I have found that is right for me is the CalSci XL
http://www.calsci.com/motorcycleinfo/Concoursprod.html
It's not cheap but with screen fully up there is almost no wind noise even over 160Kph.

Je suis aussi membre de GTRMania mais je ne suis pas tres souvent sur le forum.
