For heavens sake man pull yourself together. Having a bad day on your bike is just built into the system, so that when you have a good one it makes you go woooooooooooooooooooow and you go home thinking that was bloody fantastic. If we didn't have crappy days we could never understand how good a GOOD day is, Keep sneeking into the garage looking at the bikes, keep buying the bike mags, watch your old videos and dvds, have a gander at your old biking holiday snaps, and hey presto you will be sparked up and ready to go again. KEEP THE FAITH. you cant shake biking off, your stuck with it for life.  :) ;)
do you need to be so blunt ;) the wife has bad hair days most of the week ;D so surely am allowed the odd bad bike day :)

I too have been riding since the 70's and doing all the stupid bike stuff like racing them (££££££££££££ - ouch) trials (still do that) and living in the garage (resurected by my son)
I also got a duff patch and like an idiot sold my bike and said I am done with it. I lasted 5 months and then had to borrow money to get back on a bike again; my life had a big hole in it.
PLEASE DON'T DO IT :-[
