Forgive me chaps ... I know that " The Old Bill " are not perfect  but I find it a sad reflection in todays society that 3 officers are stabbed in Harrow, one in a critical condition, and it doesn't even get to the front page.... but TV reality stars in a jungle miles away hit the headlines ..... I, together with all other decent minded people wish them a speedy recovery.

If people didn't get overloaded with reality garbage, they may actually think for themselves.

I follow this guy and his blog and although I was aware of the incident Rusty mentions it is unfortunately one of many and not a unique attack. It beggars belief that certain individuals for a variety of reasons believe it is acceptable not only to carry such weapons but to use them against innocent individuals. We always have an input on blade attacks every year when we do our public order training and defensive tactic training. Makes you think, I can assure you.

This is one example we have been shown on a number of occasions to date.

Good reactions there by the copper, but wouldn't this guy have been handcuffed and searched first?

Maybe in an ideal world but sometimes people can conceal blades in the most discreet of places. Only thing that saved this Officer was the confines of the area he was stood in,

A frightening situation, well done to the officers at the bar, hopefully the criminal would have been dealt with appropriately by the court. All this knife crime could be sorted quite easily but the spineless government haven't got the guts. It's easy, get caught carrying a knife and you go away for 60 months, thats serve 60 months, no if's  or but's, 60 months.  Overcrowding in prisons?, build a few more!!

If you scroll down you will see a picture which is quite horrific in it's own right. If you dont like blood and grisly sights then DON'T scroll down.

It's the result of a knife attack.

part of my business as a Fitness professional is Self defence, now 10 years ago when i started i probably had about1 person in for self defence training, the rest for general personal training sessions.

Currently I have 12 people a week who are just coming to me for 1 to 1 self defence, all of them worried about personal safety.... tis a sad world we live in...

on a brighter note one of my clients got a right telling of from the plod last year, a yoof wif a blade tried to mug her, she took the knife off him dumped him on his arse and the stamped on his nuts .... apparently one to many times for the officers liking ...lol
She is like the Bumblebee, she should not fly....... and yet she does!

As a member of NARPO I have to say I take my hat off to the officers who face this sort of thing everyday. It is only by the grace of God none of the officers and the PCSO were not killed.

It will be the same / or worse than this until someone decides to take drastic action against scum like this. Forget prisons because from what I read they ammount to free board and lodgings. we have got to the situation we are In by being weak, and soft,  and It's pathetic. Someone in power needs to get real, then get tough and remove these people from the planet in whichever way they think humane. We have thousands of low life wreaking havoc, and a system that cannot stop them in it's present format. Things need to change and we must get tough, being soft is the one thing these crettins thrive on. >:(

That is horrific. Did he recover OK?

As for the scum that did that  >:(

Yes ... they are all on the mend ... the recent update from work is that 2 are at home with family, one to be discharged soon and the most serious is still in Hospital but is recovering well and is not " life threatened " any more ... the offender has been charged with several offences... 3x attempted murder, GBH and I believe affray ... it's what you say " They threw the book at him ".

Now you just have to put your faith in the Courts and hope that they appreciate the magnitude of the incident and apply a sentence which is proportionate to the action.

I'm glad to hear that all are on the mend, but will that book they throw at the ball of scum  be a paperback that no way matches the crimes commited. His sentence will more than likely have the friends and family of the officers roaring from the gallery. >:(
