Had mine delivered yesterday came with centre stand brand new 18 plate i didn't pay extra for the stand

Mine had a stand too. I remember RIDING it back from the dealer on a dark, cold, wet, December evening.

if I look at it as a days pay, it's not so bad

And what's with Kawasaki's limited colour schemes?

Green, black, or black and green!

Centre stand is standard on SE model

So is a 12v Aux socket which I also have to pay for!

The SE is out of my price range and not available in black

General Discussion / Center Stand - Optional Extra
March 01, 2018, 10:38:17 AM
How did this ever happen?

Can you imagine buying a bike in ye olden days and the salesman telling you "if you want a center stand with your bike sir, it will cost extra".

Anyway of screwing you for more money!!

I bought myself a ABBA stand for my ZZR's, loved having a center stand on my GTR, now I need a center stand for my H2 SX or hope ABBA stands have made the bobbins for the H2 SX

The Dark Side / Re: GTR to H2 SX

As soon as I get my sweaty mits on it I'll post up some pics ( although always had trouble posting images) as well as some comparisons.

Hopefully sometime in April

The Dark Side / GTR to H2 SX
February 23, 2018, 03:49:26 PM
Well, after 14 months of GTR ownership I've ordered a H2 SX.

The GTR hasn't nor will be used for touring (the mrs doesn't fancy it now) so I'm off to Supercharged land.

If the SX had not come along, I would have gone back to the ZZR.

I'm not bothered about the criticism regarding the "touring" capabilities of the SX.

I will miss the shaft drive and the center stand on the GTR.

I check into the forum most days. It's that time of years where some GTRs are away for winter (like mine).

I nearly had to post on the weekend. One side of my PIAA horns stopped working end of last summer.
Long story short, one wire worked loose, ended up removing all the wires, then couldn't remember how to re connect. Sorted now though.

Come spring time, GTRs will come out of hibernation

General Discussion / Re: Drift camera mounts.

Drift suction cup mounts. I've been using them for years and not lost a camera yet.

I have 2 on the panniers, rear facing, and 2 on the lower fairing, forward facing.

They cost about £30 though I just bought another 2 (for the car) for £18 each

Trust me they work.

I may tour the whole of the South Wales valleys, even get up as far as the Brecon Beacons!

Sadly, wrong choice of bike for me. It gets used on a Sunday (weather permitting) through the warmer months.

The intention was there . . .

I've sorted this now. Ended up using small bolts to fix the pannier lid to the hinges of the pannier.

Saved me the cost of buying a rivet gun

Nice n new once more

An update on this.

I decided on buying a replacement lid off the bay of e. It's actually brand new unmarked, bought for £112 with free postage

I just need to rivet it to the hinges of the pannier. Job done

I was tempted to get a H2 SX next year but after thinking about it and going through the figures, i would be losing a shed load of money in depreciation in a year of around £3k and taking on £6k of debt.

I'll wait until used models come in the market.
