Very very well done old fruit ... that concludes a great trip and a most rewarding and detailed write up. Thank you from all of us !

Once again many many thanks for this constructive yet distinctly honest write up, my wife likes you because of your comment about a bike being wasted in Norway although (being totally honest again) I do have to agree too, Norway had been on my bucket list for years previous to reading this but the combination of the ferry routes from Harwich to Denmark/Norway being stopped and the comments being written here have put a stop to it.

Totally brilliant write up, I was able to paint a mental picture.

I think the SX/GTR is gorgeous but at £20k for the base model then sadly I won't be joining the queue.

I remember reading at least 5 years where Kawasaki was going to discontinue with the 1400cc engines and base it's top of the range bikes on 1000cc super charged engines and a patent had been applied for.

Well done fellows shorties, at 5'6" and 30" inside leg I felt I am just a little bit too short for a GTR, but I do have a Gen2 zzr14 which has a baglux lowered gel seat and I wear Daytona M-Stars, brilliant books which I got from the bay of fleas.

Best wishes

Thanks once again for taking the time and the effort to produce this story, it's simply superb !!  :biker3:

Maloy, isn't that where Halvarssons clothing is manufactured ? (it may have been worth a trip to the factory).

Hopefully western Scotland, Applecross, Torridon etc

Koblenz, twinned with my home city of Norwich  :biker3:

A brilliant read even on the second time around, thanks so much for taking the time and the massive effort to put this together.

Personally I've never had or heard of any friends/aquaintences having any issues but didn't someone on this very forum claim that his GTR's front wheel had been swapped ?  It was a couple of years ago.

As with all the other positive comments, brilliant just brilliant  :biker3:

Like you I 've been one of those peeps who's been waiting (hoping) for the direct ferry route to be reinstated (I doubt it will especially with brexit).

A couple of years ago a chap on the zzr14 forum toured Norway and Sweden, he only mentioned the reduced speeds once where he said a traffic copper "had a word with him about his excessive speed and he thought it was 120 MPH !!"  with what your fine was for a mere 4mph over I'm surprised he didn't end up in jail.

Really looking forward to the next instalment

That's where we Brits go wrong.
Our judicial system has it's praises sung worldwide, but the sentencing is so often a joke.
Lock up these parasites for a long long time without snooker tables and televisions, something like a dungeon would be ideal.
Then our crime rate would reduce substantially.
And let's get these ar*e holes currently in prison doing some hard labour too. Make them earn their keep.
There's plenty of litter to pick up, canals and rivers to collect shopping trolleys from, and even the elderly's lawns to keep trimmed (although I'm not sure how that one would work without putting the elderly in the firing line).
Something must change otherwise the criminals will always win.

top stuff  :agree:

As per the title, on my ZZR 1400 I fitted a 190/55 rear tyre as opposed to the standard 190/50 and turn in on corners was improved and offered more sporty handling, has anyone done it with the GTR? or am I going to be the test pilot? :mfr_lol:

Won't this mod alter the final drive gearing ? and hence the speedo will be out.

Debs, I've said it before, you are one very ingenious lady and I doth tip my hat to you  :punk: that is just fabulous

Excuse my ignorance but are the light clusters mounted under the mirrors flashing lights ?

Fantastic effort  :biker3:
