Are these just for the later model?  I have a 2008 bike and want to get some protection in place before the winter comes

I have exactly the same rattle and have yet to pinpoint the cause

1400GTR Discussion / Re: Versys V Gtr
February 26, 2014, 08:56:33 PM
This discussion interests me because I have moved the other way,  ie from the Versys to the GTR and I wouldn't swap back.  I find the GTR a much more stable platform than the Versys and have ridden it throughout this awful weather with no problems.   Protection from the elements is much better.  The electric screen is superb,  not having to worry about the effect the weather is having on the chain is great too.  Yes its a much larger bike but I don't notice this at all once underway.   I have a Z1000sx too and that's great for weekend fun, but I am finding that the GTR is now creeping into weekend use now too, as well as being my workday travel tool.

Thanks for the welcome.   My V1 was a great bike.  But after two years it was time for a change and I needed something wuth full luggage for work so the GTR was the right choice.  Rusty I bought my bike in Worthing frin Alfs.  Picking it up next next Saturday

Introductions / Defected from the Versys 1000 Forum

Hi.  Mark here.  Just joined from the Versys 1000 forum.  Agreed a deal to trade in my V1 for a metallic silver GTR, 58 plate.  Hope to be picking it up this weekend.  Other bikes include a Z1000SX, and a ZZR1200 which I picked up recently with only 2,000 miles on the clock.  All weather rider, cover about 15 to 20,000 miles per year.  Based in Arundel, West Sussex  Really looking forward to owning the GTR, it's been an aspiration of mine for a good while now.
