Replaced battery with new and same issue. Will charge up and put back on the bike now light fixed and sealed. If drains then garage I guess :-(

the rubber covers can be a bit fiddly, sometimes a bit of washing up liquid helps to lube the wires so they pass through easier. It's just one of those fiddly jobs you need to fight with.

WooHoo - Thanks for the advice - never thought about lubricant - Used washing up liquid - forced the rubber over a 14mm sprocket - slid off the end straight onto the lead - bulb in - cover on.

Now just need to get battery to charge and maybe I might get back on the road.

Thanks for the help.

Hi - the rubber hole is a lot smaller than the lead that needs to go back through so needs expanding some how.

Not mechanically minded so guess garage to get the battery drain issue resolved.

Hi - Had to change the bulb on the GTR and in doing so the rubber cover came off. The headlight lead is extremely short and the hole in the rubber cover really small. Any advice on getting the cover back on the lead?

Since I exposed the headlight the battery drains so guessing damp weather and exposed electrics not a good combination.

Any advice appreciated.
