The key is to have your light adjusted right, but like any other vehicle, 4x4, hgv etc there comes a momentary point when your lights will, for a split second dazzle oncoming traffic. Weve all suffered it. Ive taken time to check and adjust my light, learning from feedback I get on the road (i.e. frantic flashing from oncoming drivers lol)

Some night pics of the lights

It's the actual projector lights themselves. You can select what colours you want for the angel and demon eyes the option are on the auction, you just enclose what you want with your payment in the message field.

Haha I earned the name Modfather years ago when I used to mess on with Nissan Primeras on another forum. Nothing changed, just messing with a different type of vehicle.

The blue glow you see is what they call "demon eyes" It's another LED I side the projector lense which emits a glow. You can select different colour like red or green etc. Blue matches my bike :)

Yeah you'd still need to dismantle the headlight to fit those, but they are more for the bike that already have projectors like the R1s. There isn't any lamp housing to fit those onto, you couldn't suspend them in mid air.

I have to say that looks awesome - BUT.....

...aren't you concerned that some people might confuse you with a BMW rider?   :whistling:

Nice, thinks a set of those may go on my xmas list

What bulbs have you got in the marker lights?

Richard

My side lights are CREE led,  either 5 or 7 watts can't remember, but they are bloody bright! Just search for 501 cree led on ebay but look for these. THE SIZE IS VERY IMPORTANT. The width cant be more than 12 mm or they won't go into the headlight.

Heres the current link.

Heres a few night shots, unfortunately I couldn't go somewhere to take some decent pic tonight but will later this week. They are bright though.

Longer exposure showing the angel and devils.

HIDS on

Think they need adjusting slightly lower.

Lighting up the neighbour opposite!

OK so today i refitted the headlight back onto the bike and put it all together. Theres nothing much to show here just what looks like a bunch of messy wires. You just got to find space for thing to fit, and bundle up wire, securing them in place and keeping thing tidy. There is a small shelf (if you like) where i stuck the resistors and led control box, just kept things out of the way. Note though, this "shelf" moves with the bars so allow enough slack on the back of the headlight wires.

Offered up the headlight and connected the various connections.

Heres those control boxes stacked up, stuck down with some double sided tape.

Ok and now a load of random pics i took, best i could do for night was to close the garage door and switch off the light. Ill get some more next time. The lights have been wired in such a way that the CREE Led side light come on with ignition, Angel & Demon eyes come on when the bike is running, and i have an override switch for the headlights (projectors) so i can keep them off during the day, and use the Angel & Demon as DLR light if you like. When its then dark, i just flip the switch and my headlights come on. Interestingly, if you flick the pass switch, the light come on momentarily and also raise upto High beam. So its all worked out canny.

Enjoy the pics, any requests just leave a post.

I think there'd be some interest. How much you cashola you thinking?
If the owners covering the postage both ways, then just a bit for labour for actually fitting the lights into the headlight housing. Maybe around 40-50 quid.

how are the new lights performing ? can you still adjust the beam from the cockpit knobs and do you have anypics with them on or showing how they look say from about 6ft away?
The lights are in and done, ill post up pics shortly after ive answered these few Qs.
The light adjusment on our bikes is dead clever, it uses a cable system which simply disconnects from the back of the head light unit, which i did when removing them. The knob remains in situ under the clocks, but yes, you use exactly the same thing to adjust them. When happens is, the cable turns a gear system on the back of the headlight, which in turn, adjusts the angle of the reflector. As these projectors are bolted to the reflector, they move with it, ergo, original adjustment. Simples.
