£4500 - Peterborough

For Sale is my 2008 F800GS bike with 69k miles & LOTS of extras. This bike took me on an epic 3 month solo trip to Mongolia and Siberia in 2012 and hasn't missed a beat the whole time I've had it. It's fully kitted out for it's next BIG adventure with all the adventure modifications you'll ever need. It's not immaculate but still in very good condition reflected in mileage and price.

K&N oil filter
K&N air filter

Brake lines & cooling system completely flushed last July
Brand new OEM sprockets front & rear fitted last July
Brand new DID VX-GB gold link chain fitted last July
Brand new Quadflex Motobatt
Replaced (used) rectifier/regulator
Refurbished stator beefed up by Westcountry windings
Nighbreaker bulb (mainbeam) fitted
New OEM centre stand
Almost new Heidenau K60 tyres front & rear tyres (70% tread)

Cheers. Sold it privately for £5500 to a real nice guy from Wakefield who saw it on flea at, he seems very pleased with it. Lot of bike with a lot of extras for the money. I have a couple of bits to sell still, OEM SCREEN, flip screen, pannier locks and inner pannier shells but will list them next week. Just need to sell the F800GS now... hopefully I'll have a 2014 BMW R1200 GSA TE by the end of the week.

No, still have it. Why, are you interested?

Unfortunately a month or so ago a lorry decided to nudge me off while I was stationary, so I need to replace a couple of pieces of fairing where it went down. Didn't bother fitting the crash bars I was going to buy as I was selling the bike... wish I had done now!

Yeah but it's not like the cheap plastic OEM plate and this looks stock unlike the ugly Givi racks. Plus, if you're going to get a bigger than stock top box you'll want a good plate. Just be aware that Givi do monolock and monokey, which have different fittings. Mine is the bigger, stronger monokey. The monolock are smaller, not as strong and really designed for light loads and mopeds.

Copper grease the back of the pads to prevent squeak and add some to the bolt threads; you'll be glad you did the next time.

I listened to the advice here and decided it was right and I do want to sell them, but I'm not going any lower. I'd honestly rather keep them, especially the BMW (or give it to my bikeless biker uncle on a permanent loan), than let them go for less and feel robbed. I guess this is how people end up with a garage full of bikes, LOL.
