The good wife and myself are off to Belgium on the GTR in April.
We will be staying in Ypres for 3 nights.
Has anybody got any ideas for some decent rides and routes based around Ypres as a starting and finishing point? :biker3:

Thanks all.
Yeah i did come and collect it in person, spotted it on the dealers site on ebay and rode the Beemer up and part chopped it.
Cotswolds would have been good, would be cool to do a ride out with some of you guys at some point, put a few names to faces etc.
Next trip planned is the Black forest in August.

I've already posted in the accessories section but thought i'd say hi in the correct place.
I'm Mike from Stoke on Trent.
Just bought my first GTR from a dealer in Ilkley which i believe, after looking through the site, is Winston Smith's old bike.
THe GTR is sitting in the garage alongside the ZX10R and has replaced my Beemer K1200GT which itself replaced a Pan Euro.
The Pan weaved like a drunk pig above 80 mph and the BM was a good bike but bloody heavy and had a godawful gearbox and low speed shunt issue.
So far very impressed with the kwak
Very smooth, damn quick and somehow manages to feel much lighter than either the BM or the Honda.
I'll be touring later this week in Cumbria and the Scottish borders on it

Must be a real joy for the Kwak mechanic when he needs to get to the ecu etc !

I've already fitted a power distribution unit under the right side fairing switched from the front positive accessories lead to power the satnav, heated grips and heated waistcoats, so in the end i gave up with the toolbox holder and wired back to the distribution block.
Its for the heated seat pad for the missus, she doesn't do cold !  :whistling:
I'll post a couple of pics when i get chance .

Thanks
To be resumed tomorrow !

Hi all
First of all hello to everyone, only registered today as i bought my first GTR 14 last week.
I've just attempted to get to the accessories wire under the seat but have been thwarted by the 4 security screws holding the tool holder box in place.
Two questions:
1/  why the hell of Kawasaki seen fit to fasten a plastic toolbox holder under the seat down with security bolts!!
2/ How the hell do i get them undone, they seem impervious to attack by screwdriver, cant get a grip on them with molegrips, cant cut a new slot as i cant get access with a dremel, attempted to drill a hole with a view to using a stud extractor but the drill bit barely scratched the surface !
Any ideas welcome !
