Good luck for the future. Can you let me know what triples you have please?  cheers.

Hi,these screens are different.I think one is the standard large, and one the later extra large.Risers should take the bars just far enough back to eliminate the problem.I have the Calsci large clear, and have no issues.I did consider the XL,but thought it might be too much strain on the lifting gear at full height as its pretty sizeable.

Hi,obviously you have had the ignition on? if the glove box has been removed, and not been put back in correctly, the lid jams on the lock.Be very careful if you try to force it open. keep us posted, would like to know what the outcome is.

Hi,the type of radiator guard can have an effect on temp.I,ve had two GTR,s,and this one has a Beowolf rad guard, and runs slightly hotter than my last one.Once up to speed and cruising, the temp guage settles as normal.

1400GTR Discussion / Re: Wheel cleaning
December 16, 2012, 06:37:20 PM
Hi,I clean mine with good hot soapy water, rinse, and then clean with Showroom shine waterless cleaner.Leaves a protective film on the wheels,so muck and brake dust wash off with no effort, and they always look clean.

Hi,I bought a Delkevic stainless oval, and it looks and sounds great.Debs put a pic on here somewhere for me.I,m really pleased with the fueling, and haven,t had any issues yet.Thought this might help. cheers.

Hi I,ve fitted a couple of sets of them, both on my GTR,and on two BMW rt,s.Its a pain, but if you take your time, its not too bad. Most dealers won,t fit them as they don,t want to pay out should it go wrong.I removed mine from the GTR,and have replaced them with black textured vehicle vinyl, which looks better, and resists heel scuffs better.Even if you don,t carry a passenger,(I do),its un-avoidable to catch your boot on the pannier top.If you want a detailed explanation,pm me .cheers.

Sorry to hear about your topbox.I have the Kawasaki one,and it came undone and rolled onto the pillion seat.I managed to grab mine at the time.I have since bought some clamps from my local hardware store, for 80p each.I,ve put two small holes in the box,and it clamps to the underside of the bottom of the grab rail.Hope you find a replacement at a good price. cheers.

Accessories, Farkels and Mods / Delkevic Exhaust
November 10, 2012, 07:39:57 PM
Hi,just fitted a Delkevic exhaust to the Greenie Meanie.I went for the 450 long, oval, stainless, and it looks great. The weight saving is more than I anticipated, and it sounds really meaty. It was a very good fit,and took very little time to fit.Whilst Iwas in the fitting mood, also put a much louder horn on,and some clamps on the top box to stiffen the fit.Let you know how the exhaust is on the road ect,shortly.cheers.

October 18, 2012, 11:56:13 PM
Hi I,ve put a rubber sleeve over my adjuster, made from a section of a bicycle inner tube.Peel it back to adjust, and it keeps all the water and any other stuff out.hope it helps.

Hi,I lost my tax disc too.The holder was bolted on the rear hugger mounting bolt.Luckily a kind sole found it,and handed it in to the local police station, and would you beleive it,they dropped it round! Whats the chance of that happening. Also lost my top box, which came undone after exiting a roundabout, but no damage luckily. Can,t say too much else has been an issue.Still a great bike.

Hi,had mine changed too.As previously suggested,I,ve put a piece of an inner tube,as a sock, over the adjuster.Just enough to cover the body and adjuster.should work fine me thinks.Inner tube(new) was only £1.99 on fleabay.

Hi mate, welcome back.I wondered if the drive shaft splines,or the bearing is running dry.Was it worse when loaded? let us know the outcome. cheers.

Hi mate,if your bike has a full service history, and any repairs done by a Kawasaki dealer, you may find that with the help of your dealer a goodwill post warranty claim may be forthcoming. At least its worth a try,and if they only offer a contribution towards the repair,it all helps. cheers.
