I have 5 days from Thursday next week between work commitments and fancied a ride through Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland. My timing is:

Leave Dusseldorf Thursday Am
Nurburgring
Ride south to Stelvio Pass
ride down to Genoa
Back up to Montreux
Romantic route to Cologne
Arrive Brussels Monday

about 1800 miles

Any suggestions or advice for roads and routes?  :biker3:

Rocketrob,
Welcome to the fold. I have a Calsi XL and risers on my 57 plate. I live between Portsmouth and Southampton if you want to swing by and have a try. :biker3:

That's a little closer will probably take you up on that

Cheers

Hi RocketRob,

Welcome aboard the horizon-munching 1400GTR.

I'm in Essex and have a CalSci +6" (the old XL, new XL is +7.5") fitted on my GTR.
I'm 6'4" with a long back so unless yer over 6'4" a CalSci Large will do you.
Screen up the wind just hits the top of my lid.
Screen down it hits just above my tits (I am also a portly chap).

Bar risers are available below, but I'd recommend riding it for a few hundred miles before you decide you need them.
I thought I did and bought some, but I have returned to the stock height now. Sorry, I sold mine a while back.

but the best are probably Kevin Bakers

You can also get bar "wedges" from Murphs which pull the bars back a little.

For the hand deflectors there are Baker Hand Wings (USA), and a couple of French companies who some people have had problems with. Mine came from a French company who have since gone under.

Boomer great tips cheers, I was looking for risers because my FJR gave me pains between shoulders after 3 hours of a decent speed and fun. will give it a try have a 3.5 hour run Friday to try it out

A supercharged Rocket? Bloody hell, the standard bike makes the world feel that its turning under the bike what it must be like when supercharged .................................

265 Horsepower bike does not know whether to wheelie or wheelspin,  makes it a short burst monster but great for drawing a crowd

Hi and welcome to the forum.

How tall are you? There's a Calsci for sale in the market section

Was looking at that possibly the XL. But am down in the south so will be a drive to compare against standard

Hello all been looking for a GTR for some time and reading reviews on this site Just finalising my deal for my new bike to add to my collection I have a Triumph Rocket supercharged and a FJR 1300 which is being replaced.

Being large and tall I was looking at a screen to give me wind protection. Wind deflectors for my hands and risers. Any advice on sourcing would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
