Introductions / Re: SECOND GTR1400
March 28, 2012, 02:07:53 AM
That's my second too. neutron grey 2008 and now the Black 2012. They wear the Concours 14 out here in Canada. Where it's normally really cold in winter. These days, the normal high should be around 4C. We've had very unseasonably warm 26 last sunday and had the opportunity for a nice 250 miles ride.
Had the opportunity to use the new ECO mode. I'm impressed. Improved 14% over best previous average and the bike is not broken in yet.

I have the Acrobat version of the service manual for model years 2007-2009 if you are interrested and have a big limit in your emails. It's a 22Mb file. Also there is a service update that is 44 Mb (don't remember why it's so big...maybe colour)

1400GTR Discussion / Re: eco mode
March 28, 2012, 01:37:56 AM
With my new 2012, still under 400 miles on it. I got it on the 16th. I had a 2008 before and I can tell you I appreciate the ECO mode. My numbers with the eco mode are at least 15% better than on my 2008. Converting my leters per 100 km to our old miles per imperial gallon way of calculating, I now get 51.4 miles per gallon on my first W/E trip (5.5 liters per 100 km) and it's not even broken in! I used to get 44.1 miles to the imperial gallon (6.4 liters/100 km). That's a 14% economy compared to my 2008. If I did take care I'm sure I can improve even more. Haven't had figures like these since I had this specially slow speed trip with my old 1996 Honda ST1100.

I'm impressed with the ECO mode...and all!

1400GTR Discussion / 2010-12 Shop Manual
March 28, 2012, 01:16:24 AM
Hi guys,
I'm just a newbe aound here, but i'm a member in the ZG/GTR fanatics forum across the big pound. I was looking to find the shop manual for the 2010-2012 model years being that I changed my 2008 GTR1400 for the 2012 just two weeks ago. I have the previous shop manual purchased from ebay and would like to get my hands on the one made for years 2010-12. That one isn't available on ebay. My Google search brought me to this forum where a 10 month old post was refering to the subject.
Can anybody be of help for a canadian GTR1400 owner? (Concours 14 as it's known here...and the USA)
:ohplease:
