The trip was great.. Brno circuit is great viewing.. But the camping is a rip off.. I would book a hotel in the town as a free bus service runs up to the circuit every alf an hour ll day till 2300..
It is a hard ride we put in a couple of 650 mile days so the following day could be through the twisties which in the Czech Republic are fun if a little lawless...
The Gtr was faultless giving me an average on 54mpg over the 2000 miles.. The bmws only did 49mpg .. It was a pain riding with a load of tractors for bikes just kept hovering them up when I got bored..
I am going to invest in an airhawk or equivalent as my arse was killing me.. Not surprisingly given the distance and timeframe .. I have good pics which I will put on when I figure how to make them smaller ?!?!?

Sorry :) 3 mates riding, me on my 2012 Gtr and the other 2 on BMW Gs 1200s..boo.. Told them if they led me back I would leave them :)
We are riding the first day and hotel in Frankfurt then Thursday off to Brno and camping 3 nights where we meet up with the rest of the 'boys' who are flying over !!!!?!?
I will update with pics ..
Just had 2 new tyres (pilot road 3) 7500 service and new rear shock (warranty.. Original remote preload seized!!)
So should be good to go :)

General Discussion / Re: Dealers

I have recently had warranty work and 7500 mile service at
Portmans Guildford ... Charged £400 for service with is way to
Expensive.. Staff rude and obnoxious.. They have just lost their
Kawasaki dealership entitlement but can still service and do warranty work
I will never use them again and am considering changing the bike
Based on this experience ....

Model: no idea
Year : 2012
Colour: midnight blue
Where purchased:Kawasaki direct
Mileage:7500
Warranty : yes
Problem description: gear position sensor fail. Rear shock remote preload seized
Dealer response: carrying out work but inspire no confidence
Dealer name: portmans Guildford
Cost: nil
Other notes: disappointed with build quality as these faults are not isolated looking at your forum..my last 3 bikes were Hondas with never a problem..my next will be Honda again.

I have just had my 7500mile service ...£380!
Warranty work for gear position sensor and rear shock preload seized so waiting for a new shock ... At 7500 miles ?????
Think I will go back to Honda .. My last blackbird I had for 10 years 75000 miles and no service bills like that and no warranty work ever.. Looks like the gtr has build quality issues.. Not pleased as not a cheap bike ..

It has a bright blue metal flake in it.. Looking forward to seeing it in the sun

Accessories, Farkels and Mods / Re: HID and MOT

The legislation only refers to cars. i.e require headlamp washers and self leveling prior to HID conversion,
i have been running HID on bikes for 5 years and I also work in the Legal profession, relax and fit HID to your bikes, no law against bikes conversions at present.
