1400GTR Discussion / Re: What fuse?
September 01, 2016, 05:09:48 PM
Ive ripped this off the ZG/GTR site

The front right accessory outlet, the front left boot accessory wires, and the the rear boot accessory wires are all on the same
5 Amp fuse on the '10 model (I'm told it's the same on later models).  It is in the fuse box just in front of the under seat toolbox and is the fourth fuse down from the open end of the box. It is the only 5 amp fuse in that fuse box. The wiring diagram is incorrect as to it's actual location, as it lists it as being in the 5th position.  It was listed wrong in the '10 service manual as well, at least in the places I checked for it.

You could try ceramic coating.
Not had any problems with heat on mine, other wise I give this a try myself.

Newer FZ6 pillion pegs are a direct replacement.
If you buy new from the dealer order only the individual parts you need, the rubber bit and the alloy bit.
The ball, spring, plate and pin are used from the original peg.

Was there last November, working.
A bit dull and uninviting, wrong time of year I suppose.

 :biker3:
The KiPass ECU, with ignition switch gas cap and seat lock £400
Local dealers labour and other bits inc Mot £802

I am satisfied with the  dealers work as they capped the labour rate at 1 day. Even tho total hours over last few weeks was more.

I got my bike back
One replacement KiPass ECU, used.
One regulator/rectifier
One Multifunction Relay
Sundries and a new Mot
+ labour  :whistling:

The KiPass ecu came with one fob, which is a bit of a downer.

Needs to go back for a fork seal tho

The Multifunction Relay Unit also has a relay for the fan/temp.
Might be something to consider. Check BOTH fans are working first.
Its located under the seat at the rear. Cost £60 + vat

Many moons ago I picked up a load of motorbikes from Barcelona. Every single one was tied down with string.
Ok they were second hand and not in the best condition.
This was on a 45ft curtain sider, I made loops on the chassis for the STRING ties. They even went out  and fetched more bikes to load.
Delivery was to a shop in Southend, Essex.
A couple of ties snapped, but NOT one fell over.

It wouldn't be an 06 model as they weren't introduced until 2008

However there are some lovely examples out there for you to research ....good luck and keep us informed

Launched in 2007 but model year is 2008
When I was looking to buy I found a US import from Ohio.
Purchase price plus the cost of registering in UK  just didn't add up.
