Hi Mike. Crikey, new ones at that price, you should probably go for one of those. I had a quick look myself when I listed it and again tonight. Only new ones I saw were the aftermarket Puig and Givi made ones. I've heard they are thinner and not as stable as the genuine Kawasaki screens, but I haven't personal experience on that issue.

I cant get those original pics to work either. Perhaps after so long they are deleted from the forum server. At the moment I cant find the same pics on this tablet as I had to do a format but have found 2 others of the screen on the bike before I sold it.
If these dont appear pm me and I'll email them direct.

I'm interested in the pannier liner bags if they are still available, post to Co. Durham?
Hi, yes still available. I'll nip around to the post office tomorrow,  tuesday, and get a price for the postage.

Do they take any of the mirror view up
A little bit, but it depends where your eye line is in relation to bars and mirror, basically how tall you sit.  Because they can be rotated around the bar end they can be set to deflect the wind rain and minimise mirror view interference.

Raising the mirrors wont do what you are thinking they will, they are too far away from the bars. I fitted Acerbis guards which fit close in front of the levers and work really well to deflect cold and wet. They seem to be unique in how they fit on, not needing any mods. Just take off the bar end weights and replace with the guards plus smaller weight to make up the difference so you keep the correct designed weight at the end of each bar. The guards are rigid and dont require a second mounting point at the other end.

The Market / GTR1400 touring goodies for sale
October 04, 2017, 01:22:12 AM
Well I've sold my 2008 gtr1400, a sad day but the right thing to do. It went to a dealer so I took off some of the touring goodies and put the bike more or less back to standard.  Hope to recoup something toward what they cost me but also pass them to true enthusiasts.  I hope the prices are reasonable, but due to the awkwardness for packaging of all but the ventureshield, I would prefer if possible not to have to post them.  Happy to meet, ideally within or close to Lincolnshire, but if postage is required prices would be plus postage at cost.

Tony Archer comfort / touring seat £120
Tony converts your own seat pan and charges £100 or so depending on individual spec.  I got a second-hand seat for the donor pan in case I didn't like what he did. I shouldn't have doubted, the seat is fantastic.  Dual density foam stops the structure from sinking as your bum warms up the foam on a long ride. Gel pad gives constant all day riding comfort.  Im 6'-2" and this seat still allowed me to put both feet flat on the floor but also in the riding position kept my knees to be less bent. It didn't raise the normal seat height but it didnt sink like the original equipment seat. I guess this seat wouldn't suit someone who would normally want a low seat position.

Tall touring screen, £85.  Kawasaki part, not an aftermarket. This was fitted to my bike by the dealer when they did the pdi. The standard screen had never been on until I sold the bike. Clear and no significant marks or scratches. Hard to photograph it being clear but measures about 24" tall.  Doesn't need any different fittings, goes on using all from a standard screen.

Pannier liner bags, £50 for the pair. Genuine Kawasaki bags, very well made and no wear of tear at all. I haven't actually used these many times but they do fit the cases very well.  They are a pair, both have the outside pocket but 1 is plain inside, and 1 has and additional inner pocket, I think marketed as to take a lap-top.

Ventureshield headlamp protector, unused £5.  I put a ventureshield full body kit on my gtr but because I had already bought a perspex headlight guard didnt fit the ventureshield part of the kit.

If you want any or all of these bits send me a personal message for any further info or to discuss the hows and wherefores of delivery and payment.
