I would hope so, do you share your eye with others?  :whistling:

Only the glass eye .... makes a great cue ball.  :yes:

AGV, Shark, Caberg, Nolan, HJC, KBC along with the likes of Boxer, Viper etc all produce plastic lids as they are the cheaper end of their ranges (AGV/Nolan/Shark/HJC) or the mainstay in the case of the others.

Not all are cheap, I have a £320 Shark Evoline 3 which is a Polycarb lid.

Nothing wrong with plastic lids, they are evenly made due to the injection methods of moulding, unlike the layering of multi compsites but are heavier and more prone to chemical/sunlight damage.

Painted ones are better (and more expensive!) and to be fair most are now.

How do you find the Evoline. I have just bought one and did a longer trip with it.  I love the lid but ...

I found the visor was loose and popped out of the housing;
In the rain I had a small amount of water coming down the inside of the visor and into my eye!

Is it just mine?

Mine's been doing this too - If I throttle back hard it kills the engine, maybe the idle speed is not quite adjusted properly. But when warmed up - it's not a problem. In for a service tomorrow so will check.

Not sure if this would swing it in favour of the Z8 - but you can get £25 cashback if you buy a pair/

Got my bike at my 28K service interval and asked Tim at Morpheus motorcycles of bristol ...

Am looking for a garage for servicing - would you recommend these fellas at Morpheus? Some mixed reviews out there ... but if they know their way around the GTR I would be willing to travel there from Cardiff.  Thanks.

Sorry to hear about your "shaft"  :shocked:

Some might be interested in one of these on ebay at the moment. Good price - hefty shipping charge.
Could  be worth doing a group sale to save on shipping - there are 6 available at the moment.
Price = £127 + any import tax

They also have the Euro cut for sale ...

Has anyone ever heard or used of a guy called Digger Seats, he's also very much in demand and produces some fine works of art.

He did my seat last year; did a great job for £120. will post a picture when I get a chance. Nice fella - knows his bike seats. Loaned me a zzr seat until mine was finished. I was able to drop it off mind.

+1 for Nutt Travel; they usually do a better deal. Used them before, very good.

Not a great end to your trip ... sorry to hear that. Glad I wasn't on that crossing - last time I did it felt sick as a dog but the sea was really flat!
Did you have it on the centre-stand or side stand? Hope you get it all sorted ...

Rusty do you know how the dealer did this, is it a big job?

Be interested in how that was done ... Could use an an accessory socket that was live and not switched.

Dropped a bolt down there and this seemed the easiest way to get it out.  :-\

Anyone had trouble releasing the quick rivets on the fairing located under the seat fairing panels? These are not the pop in and lift out type but unscrew the middle pin and then remove. Mine don't want to unscrew and so it's difficult to remove the rivet.

I have the Calsci XL screen and have been pleased with it.  6'2" tall and with screen fully up the wind noise is almost gone.
I'd like to have tried the Cee baileys - but never got the chance. I think the way the screen flips up at the end gives you a bit extra.
