Just come up to 4500 on my BT023 great tyre would expect to get 7000 mls out of them. I agree they a great in dry & wet conditions. Used them on my blackbird as well, never had any bad moments very planted. :smartass:

1400GTR Discussion / Re: TYRE PRESSURE BATTERY WARNING
February 17, 2012, 09:23:19 AM
Had my first ride of 2012 yesterday great to be on the old girl again 112 miles. the tyre warning read out came on after 500 yards & disapeared after 2 miles no problem after that readings showed 42psi front & rear. Looks like the batteries dont like sitting in the cold garage. So I wont worry if it happens like that again.

Accessories, Farkels and Mods / Smaller Screen
September 21, 2011, 10:19:10 AM
I know this is proberbly a daft question but does anyone know of a smaller screen available for the GTR. Reading other posts they all relate to taller screens but I would like to try a lower one. Have thought of buying a standard one off ebay and cutting it down . Any views on this?

1400GTR Discussion / Re: FUEL CONSUMPTION
September 14, 2011, 09:06:12 AM
I seem to be getting about 185 miles to a tank before the fuel light comes on & if I fill up at that point the tank only takes 16.5 lts to fill up. And as its a 22ltr tank the bike should be good for 220miles which is the best I have had to date. And I dont tend to hang about.

General Discussion / 1 Month On
September 14, 2011, 09:00:58 AM
:D Now had the GTR for a month & covered nearly 3000mls. All I can say this is the best all rounder I have owned for comfort, ease of use in fact everything. As I dont need to carry  luggage have used it 95% on time without panniers. Also I think  it is  better than my previous Blackbirds in alround day to day use. Have added the following Carbon Hugger, Carbon Fender Extenda, HID Lights, Blueflame Carbon Oval Exhaust, Kawasaki Tank Pads. The Blueflame end can gives it it a little sportier look & sounds great. Also fitted the BT023 and as always they are so planted, chicken strips dont exsist this bike does corner. The fuel useage is the same as the Blackbird which is ok. The mirrors which people seem to complain about I think are great better than Blackbird & the ZZR1400.  As you can tell Im over the moon with the bike, thought I would share this with you. :D

Introductions / First Ride
August 22, 2011, 09:39:48 PM
:D Well picked up my first GTR today from Tamworth & rode it back to Suffolk. Could not stop grinning the whole way back, its so smooth and a bit rapid. Had a new rear tyre fitted so had to take it a bit easy. Could not fault the bike, looking forward to clocking up the miles.

Hi, No one has mentioned the Bridgestone BT-023 tyres I have had always had these fitted on all  of my 5 Blackbirds with great results. Also on my ZZR1400 they transformed it from OEM BT-014 that were fitted. The Triumph Tiger 1050 I have just sold had 023 & they preformed fantastically in the wet as well as in the bends. Has anyone tried them on the GTR? :D

:)Hi Guys, I am new to this site picking up my GTR next Tuesday 58reg Black one. Shopping around for insurance was surprised to find it was only £145 fully comp for a group 17 bike with a £250 excess. This is with Bennets, from past experience first year cheap, following year big hike in price. Then time to switch company. As others have said shop around.
