Well, even although I've owned the bike almost a year I've just not gelled with it,
Tried all sorts, Topseliere seat, scorpion can,bar risers etc etc but just couldn't gel unfortunately,
Staying with Kawasaki though, bought a new versys 1000

Yours is a 2008 Mk1, so yes you can change the TPS batteries yourself with a little bit of ingenuity.  That latest models have a revised sensor that is supposed to last 10 years!

The slight whine you can hear is the rear bevel box.  A normal noise.  Just check the oil level.  Piece of cake to change that oil as well, only wants 150ml of Hypoid 90
What is a bevel box and where do I find it/add the oil

So finally rode the bike and love it but looking for some answers,
1- Bike is very slow to turn over, almost like it's not going to start but at very last second it fires up. Yesterday after 100 miles stopped bike fir around 20-30 seconds and it wouldn't start, when pushing start button it wiped all data from dashboard.
2- tyre pressure gauges doesn't show anything
3- small whine (like a dry chain) from engine area.
4- screen , please help with the noise/ buffering

1400GTR Discussion / Re: Smoke at startup

I had my one ( a 2008 model) delivered last week and started it up yesterday for first time and it was quiet a lot of white smoke , sounds a similar thing.
More worryingly it's been bought from a Kawasaki dealer and just been serviced, time for a call I think.
