Mines an 08 Plate and exactly as the OP described.
I even took the Touring Screen off to allow more air flow, mine seems hotter on the Left.
I guess its exaggerated in this Heat, but yesterday did 200 Miles and it was very sticky

Yes, if you remove the "glove box" and fit a plastic "plate" from a Gen2 GTR, it'll fit just fine

You can get a cover for your bike for just over £100 on eBay. For example item no. 222509984699

Cheers

In Principle correct, HOWEVER and its a Biggie the bracket that teh Cover bolts onto differs between the two models and  the hole centres for the covers are wrong.
I was lucky and got a bracket, but as the Glovebox is more useful I just swap them over when I need a Tank bag.
I will post some pics next time I swap it.

Hi,
I have assembled a conversion kit to remove the Glovebox and Fit the Blanking Plate from later models.
The Blanking plate came from Kawasaki
BUT and ins a B I G BUT the Mounting bracket is wider on the later models,
I was lucky and a forum member had a spare.
I think the Glovebox is more useful so only intend to use the blanking plate and Tank Bag when touring

Mines a Givi Blade
You remove the Red Lens and the existing Silver Trims and replace them with the same Trim (supplied in the Kit) which has LEDS built in.

That link can be downloaded to your pc....then you'll always have the workshop manual.

Just a couple of photo's of where you've set the lights into the top box....I was thinking of either behind the reflectors on the lid...or make a bracket that would fit under the topbox???

Brian

I bought this kit for my TopBox

The Market / Standard Screen Wanted
June 02, 2017, 08:46:55 AM
My Bike came with a H U G E Screen, which I'm sure is all well and good in cooler Weather, BUT prevents any real air Flow so makes for an unbearably hot ride on Warm days, so I'm going to go standard for a while.
Bikes an 08 if that makes a difference.
Thanks in advance
