Wow! Resetting the throttle really works! Its made a huge difference - the bike is now as it should be. And its easy to do with no cost. Many, many thanks guys. 

I love my 2011 1400GTR except that I find the throttle jerky at lows revs, especially in first gear. This makes riding in slow traffic irratating. The throttle seems to jump from no power to power (as if its either on or off) instead of a smooth take up.
The USA owners club has pointed me to a solution whereby the EMU is modified with a flash, but being in Cape Town the supplier is not interested in helping me.

Does anyone know of a solution here? I go to the UK often so a supplier there would work.
