The Market / 2013 GTR 1400 For Sale
July 28, 2017, 10:18:56 AM
(13 Reg) 8665 miles Red

1st Registered 30.03.2013. Purchased new from Colchester Kawasaki.

One previous keeper. I bought this bike in September 2016 with the intention of touring but work commitments have meant very little time for using it. It's only done just over 1000 miles in the last 14 months.

The bike is in excellent condition with a full 12 months MoT (done today with no advisories).

Full service history as follows:
20.04.13 564 miles
10.05.14 2916 miles
24.10.15 7573 miles
03.10.16 8206 miles (next service due at 11250miles)

New Yuasa YYTX14-BS battery fitted in February this year.

Bar risers fitted (I am 6'3" and this vastly improves the riding position) with ram ball mount attached for sat nav.

Brand new pannier bags included (never used).

I'm sure I've missed something but if you have any questions please ask. If you've never ridden one of these they are extremely comfortable with a stonking engine.

£7900o.n.o. (Bike is 10 minutes from Dartford Crossing/Lakeside Shopping Centre, Essex).

Went to remove the toolbox holder on my 2013 gtr to find it is fixed in place by 4 one way screws. It seems an odd set up just to secure it. Is this standard or has it been altered previously?

Just an update. Had my bike serviced at East London Kawasaki. Extremely pleased. Excellent and friendly service. Knowledgable guys who are happy to chat. Would definitely recommend them.

I have a Tomtom Rider I want to fit. What's the best way of hard wiring it?

1400GTR Discussion / One month in
September 25, 2016, 07:52:20 PM
Well after a month of ownership of my 2013 Gtr1400 I have to say I am very pleased. I've had BMWs for years now, mainly the GS and the GSA and thoroughly enjoyed them. I'd always fancied a gtr and as my aging hips were starting to struggle to get on/off the Beemer I decided to have a change.

On the ride home from picking it up I loved the power and acceleration. The riding position felt a bit odd as I was leaning forward more than I was used to. The wind blast was a bit full on as I couldn't find a position with the screen that was ok. I ended up leaving it down as it was more comfortable.

I found the handling just fine and the steering positive.

I've now fitted helibar risers and it's made the world of difference. Sitting up that bit straighter is more comfortable. The seat seems comfortable enough (unlike the BMWs where I've always ended up fitting a Sargent or Corbin) but to be fair I haven't done a really long run on it yet (that will be next month to the south of France).

I think I'm going to need a different screen (I'm 6'3") or an extender of some sort.

Tank range I'm not too sure of but I'm guessing 180ish miles?

All in all I'm very pleased and so far delighted I made the change.
