1400GTR Discussion / Can I have a pic of your center box?

Guys

For those who have a central glove box, Can I ask for your help?

I have changed the central plastic part as it was broken, but I am having issue figuring out how to re-install the springs that hold the part that is mobile.

I have taken pic but deleted them accidently.

So if you could spare 5min and take the picture on how the springs are attached to the plastic part that links the lever with the plastic central box

thanks for your help

Sorry the links are not working

Where on the older model you found the 39184-0012 part?

In chassis electrical equipment nothing is available

Thanks

That is one of the PN i have found

I am just worried about the RH on the part name suggest its a right part whereas the braket is fully centered and there is only one per bike

Thanks

I am going to check if I can find information somewhere on the web

Issue is that the name of the part is pretty generic so not easy to be 100% sure that's the one

Thanks

The EPC show a part that i am unable to find on the list.

The 39184 mark is not listed below

Any chance to have that full PN?

Thanks

Hello

Any idea of the size of the tool cap that suites our filter?

Thanks

Hi

I used grease and the oversize oring wasn't fitting easily. Did you had to give it a little hammer kick?

I am trying to fit the the 22mm 16mm gaged 3mm ring

Thanks for the feedback

Back after a while

Finaly got some time to do the job.

All shims are updated and new valve clearance measured good

Now time to put back the cover and refitt all those nasty parts

Quick question:

1) how do you clean the hylomar blue? Thinner?

2) I tried to upgrade the oring on the camshaft sensor to the one with a larger diameter but I can't squeeze it in. How did you do it? The hylomar is not a good lubricant from my point of view, it gets dry pretty quickly, right?

Cheers

And quick question about the manual

THe mean values are :

exhaust  0,125mm
Inlet      0,145mm

But the standard valves clearence given in the book is :

exhaust : 0,19 to 0,24mm
Inlet        0,12 to 0,17mm

The mean value at inlet is within the clearance range given. So that's ok
For the Exhaust, I don't understand why the mean value is outside the range. Any idea?

Guys

I managed to remove the cylinder head cover and my plugs. They are all within range and looks very good

Now I need to work on my measurement of the clereance...

Any tips?

THanks

Guys

So far I didn't found it hard or needed to be a mecanics to arrive where I am. It's just a pain in the ass because the amount of parts to remove (and to reffit) is crazy

In france, the 42k service is between 800 to 900€
