Not sure how old your bike is or where you are but my '10 has been doing that for two winters. I wouldn't rush.

I use a GoPro Hero 3 like the other sheep. What programme did you use to add the music?

Certainly a different concept..but something I'd have to try on first.  Definitely wouldn't buy without making sure it would fit first.
The concept has been around for ages but the designers didn't want to skimp on quality or sell the design to an established manufacturer, so it's taken a little while to get this far. They're supposed to be very comfortable and quiet as they curl further around your neck. Also safer too with no need for a chin strap. Haven't tried one on myself.

Well I'll be spanked with a rolled up copy of the sporting life I didn't know that. And yet it seems to go against all that makes sense eh guys.  Diesel engine oil in a bike go figure. Well I'll give that a miss I think. I'm still going for Mobil I think. Didn't get a chance to readjust my balancer shafts today so watch this space till tomorrow. 😉😉
Using diesel oil seemed very common in the U.S. when I rode dirt bikes. Namely Shell Rotella. People have been using it for years.  And the 4 strokes are basically a 1 cylinder F1 engine. Very demanding on oil with high compression and short piston skirts etc with most of the engines life spent at over 8000RPM. Total capacity is actually fairly small too.  I've never used it. Well, not yet...

For what it's worth I collected the bike today and the paint is sweet. There was a major delay in sourcing some paint and the first job was done by the PPG rep who apparently brought up his own water based paint guns. It was woeful. Second job was done by the shops gun painter and he did very well.
Bottom line is you can match it but you need to be a competent painter it seems.

I second that. Great to hear you were covered up.

Off topic but this is a slick I dropped my ZX9R on a few years ago. Doing about 60km I slid across into the gutter and was nearly collected by a Hilux then watched it slide up the road before flipping about 6 times. 3.5 years later It still haunts me when leaning into corners on new bikes. And I hate it!

I've done some powder coating before and I do like the look of yours. But this is the first stock bike I've ever had and I'm actually keen to keep it that way. Weird I know!

The DAS6 is a great piece of equipment that has minimal risk of doing damage to your paint. I love it. I'd highly recommend it and there are a stack of instructional vids online.
Yeah the paint and pearl is not uncommon. I had a red Mazda 6 with gold pearl and I think 8 coats of clear from the factory. It was the victim of a major fail to stop collision and you'd never have known once it was repaired The blending isn't always so bad but it can be a bit of work matching the plastics to the steel tank. Having said that I'm pretty fussy and if anyone will notice it'll be me.

Thanks very much. I'm just a bit surprised that Kawasaki spec the 1400 with some nice but fairly run if the mill colours, and then they add this expensive magnesium grey with pearl coat. My painter is fairly experienced and works at a sizeable restoration shop. And he's told me he's got the PPG rep coming up to give him some advice!

These guys mainly appear to do H.D.'s and I don't know what type of LED's Kawasaki use but I'm aware of a lot of sportbike owners who just soldered their own coloured LED's in. There are even a few YouTube tutorials . I'm sure there are a few more sites that advertise this but it's midnight here and I'm in need of some rest!

I just bought my GTR after selling an 09 Harley Davidson Night Rod Special. There were businesses that specialised in changing H.D. LED colours for a small fee. I'll see if I can find them when I get a chance.

Thanks. Oh yeah I've spent some time there. Love my DAS6 polisher!
