General Discussion / Re: tyre's
April 02, 2022, 08:12:59 PM
Hi,
Always have Pirelli Angel GT's on mine, first set lasted 11k miles as I'm smooth but fast!
GT 2's are the latest version, well pleased with mine....
Also just had the batteries replaced for the TPMS, still working perfectly.
Have fun.

They were the sealed battery version.
Guys just cut the battery wires and re soldered them etc.
Still working perfectly!!
Cheers,

After about 2yrs of putting up with the usual TPMS low battery warnings from both tyres I finally visited MOT a Bike in Colchester where they replaced the batteries and all works well, very impressed. All for £90, ride in - ride out service !!
Would recommend them for this simple fix.
Also get my R1 and DRZ mots done there.
Cheers, Colin.

1400GTR Discussion / Re: lowering

Highly recommend these as I had mine lowered years ago.
No adverse effects and makes it more stable when two up.
Got mine off ebay and fitted by dealer, no problems....

I have the Lust lowering kit fitted to my GTR.

I'm 5'9" and can now sit with both feet flat on the ground when stopped. No problems with centre or side stand, just have a piece of wood in top box to put under rear wheel when using the centre stand.

Was fitted by Orwells in Ipswich during a service. Kit was from ebay.

I'm in Colchester so happy for you to come and try it!!! :biker3:

Also don't forget to replace the rubber if it has a worn flat bottom edge.

Did mine, much better feel etc.

Great to meet some of the guys and girls off here.
Good to see the different mods done by members and the different model specs.
Safe ride home, not too busy or cold.

Cheers and see you again soon........

Hi,
Quick question, was it £6.95 for a pair of pegs or just the one. The ebay pic shows a pair?
After some myself.
Got a pic of them fitted?
Cheers.

I've just fitted a new Garmin Zumo 590 LM, very impressed, always had Garmin's!
Easy to install after searching on here, £380 from amazon.
Off to France in June for 10 days ish, touring around the sunny spots I hope!

On my previous bike, ZZR1100, Angel ST's returned 13,000miles, then Angel GT's fitted, 12500miles.
Best tyres I've had, excellent grip in wet or dry and squared off really slowly considering I was working in London from Colchester.
Standard tyres on my GTR still, 11,000miles, looking forward to putting GT's on for summer trips......

Hi All,
Bought a 2013 GTR one week ago, love it.
All the toys as a GT model in blue.
Hoping to travel in UK and Europe next year.
Will be asking advice on sat navs and intercoms soon!
