Look very nice. What does the rear extender do. I can see the benefif of the front extender and the rear hugger as these stops water, stones and shit doing any damage, but the rear exrender is passed the point of any rubbish ? Might sound a silly question, but a reasonable one for me who don't know.

Thanks

Recent orders shipped and 2016 will soon be here. If Santa brought you a new bike, you need some goodies for it.

You got any pictures and prices. I have the front extender already on the bike when i bought it, but might be interested in a Rear

Yep.  But the rf portion of the fob will always work if the fob battery itself is knackered.

Sounds like you have answered the question that was asked then.

Just been out to start my 11 plate and the bike isn't responding to the fob - recently changed the battery in the fob but all seemed fine after that.
I still have the intermittent lashing red light on the dash so assume the battery in the bike is fine.

Any suggestions?
I will try a new keyfob battery just in case.....

I know you have changed battery, but you do get the odd duff battery. I would change it again as its a cheap fix to find out if the battery is FOOKed

Doing oil change and noticed the lower fairing bolt has gone walkabouts. Where can I get a replacement, Dealer / E Bay? No rush for it.

you will get them from a dealer or ebay (is this a trick question ??)

I suspect it's an American import because it has the reflective discs .... Yellow at the front and red at the rear .... The v5 might yield some more clues when it returns from Swansea. It certainly feels like it's got more than 105bhp, pulls well decent top end etc, was just wondering if there was something on the bike that might give some clues as to its origins etc

Handle Bars are on the left hand side. That's the giveaway

I bought a Scorpion Strap On (or is it slip on !!).

Anyway, no gasket on this, it just slips on and fits snug upto the flange on the inside. 2 Springs hold it in place and stop any rattle. I think it allows a little movement to allow it to  expand/shrink when it gets hot.

That's why it screams so load.

Patience young man, patience. He's only had it two minutes.

Looking at the K1600 as probably next year will be due a change as I should have done 20k on the GTR by then.
Can you confirm are there any specific differences between the GT and the GTL Executive. Visually the GTL has the back box with passenger armrests as not too keen on that myself, (so that would come off and be stored in the garage) but from what I can tell the GTL has lots of extras above the GT. Can you confirm as I am sure you did lots of research when you were looking at buying one.

I got a scorpion on mine. Off ebay for £180. Looks brilliant and sounds ace.

I had a Bewulf on a Bandit which I sold last year. It was OK, but no where near as good looking or sounding as Scorpion (IMO).

Just ordered a pair of Osram Nightbreaker Unlimitted for £18.36. This was with a 20% discount code applied, so thought this was pretty good price.

They come with a pair of free Osram side light bulbs also.

If I go for upgrades ill still to the same wattage. Don't want electrical issues or melting reflectors, that will eventually show a yellow tint

Sorry for delayed update.
Yep, for the money they ain't bad! Cheap metal, had to fettle the mounting assembly a little, but they do what they say on the can.
Yes, I would prefer some better lookers, but until you have them in your hand or fitted no idea what you're buying!
I do like the setup that ZG has posted here, but PIA lights, way off my budget!
I'm off work for 12 days now, so if you're out riding west let me know and you can have a look.
From your post in headlights, I can recommend the Osram Night Breakers, yet to change them on the GTR, but on a GS and XTZ made a big difference.

Thanks Again, appreciate your advice. Do you know what the fitting type is for the Nightbreakers, as they go from H2 to H7 ? I cant seem to find any database that tells the fitting type and cant find in the manwell either. I figured, if I upgrade the headlights first, and then if still needed, I can fir the lamps second.

They look good. What fitting type is needed as it specifies H2/H3/H4/H5/H6/H7
