Hi Guys
i am thinking of using the removable mirror plate on my 2011 gtr to mount some auxiliary running lights or repeater indicators.
i have tried to source some flat stick-on led lights but have been unable. can anyone help please? has anybody else thought of doing this? outcomes?
cheers
tony
Tony,
I am having the same thoughts, and bought some of these Aftermarket daytime running lights (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ring-Lyra-Dual-Function-LED-Day-Night-Lamp-DRLs-/180681784675?_trksid=p5197.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D3%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D3773718423605965333) earlier today. Beloved by the Saxo driving chavs alas, but perfect for the job and a lot less than many of the motorbike specific items.
I intend to mount them (ideally) down either side of the front mudguard, to give more distance between the headlights and these lights. Research has shown that a large triangle of light, rather than simply more light, is more effective in being recognised by drivers who often look right through us. I am sure they are lighweight enough to mount underneath the mirror too.
I also ordered a topbox LED light kit designed for our OEM topboxes (http://www.admorelighting.com/index.php?page=products/index.php&subpage=8), to give better visibility from the rear. From the states alas.
Will let you know how I get on once they have arrived.
Martin.
Cheers Martin
I am after a stick-on solution for the back of the mirrors, but I am interested in the topbox light system. are you based in the States where these are from or in the UK (as I am). either way let me know the outcome and ease of fitting etc. please
cheers
Tony
