Title: Spotted green GTR
Post by: Kwikasfuki on October 27, 2011, 11:18:43 AM
Parked at the park royal resort in penang  ;D

Looks to be a police bike with it being used by a paying guest. It is the only big bike i've seen. Most tend to be 100cc.

Pics below.

Penang is nice.
I've been there with a dragon boat team for the annual races several years ago and had a great time.
Enjoy!

Well, here is the weather for penang

http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/forecast/1627

thankfully the bbc is wrong. during the day it is blue skies and hot. once the sun sets, then the thunderstorms come. Absolutely spectacular

The green gtr has a carbon protector over the panniers. looks very good. if i find out who owns it i might see if i can pick them up locally.

If you do find a source for the carbon protectors, text me with a price and I'll have some as long as they aint a daft price. I think they make perfect sense.

Right, that's exactly where you may scratch them with your boot getting on and off the bike.

Believe me LW, you wouldn't want to go out on one of them in Georgetown.

We went on a bus trip from Penang to Singapore and the traffic in Malaysia is just mad.
Plus the heat. In Singapore I saw at least a couple of guys wearing leather jackets.
But they wore them back-to-front with the zip open at the back. 8)

Aye, seen a lot of that back to front jacket wearing.

I would ride a bike here but with caution

Well - I can imagine a ride out into the hills of Penang on a dirt bike could be fun.
You'll just have to look out for those crazy truck and bus drivers! :o
I'd rather go diving, though.  ;D
I guess you are staying in one of the hotels on the West coast of the island and not in the centre of Georgetown like we did.
